Here is an XTP MAG shot from a .50 cal muzzy at approximately 75 yards using 70 gr. by weight of BH 209.
The entrance was the point of the right shoulder and it was found under the hide next to the tail on the left hind quarter. To say I was impressed is an understatement.
Thank you! Hunting with her is the highlight of my hunting career!
Side note, the bullet pictures was from my daughters deer. She hit him on the point of the right shoulder and we found the bullet in the right hindquarter just to the left of the tail under the hide. My bullet was a...
So my 13 year old Daughter drew out for her first deer tag this year and additionally I did as well. We just returned from an amazing trip where we saw numerous deer and the fall colors were unreal this year! This hunt took place in my home state of Utah.
I hunted opening morning and shot...
I have a much more modest list but hope to expand it over the next few years. I should draw a Shiras moose tag in the next 3 years.
1- Rocky Mountain Elk
2- Mule Deer
3- Whitetail Deer
4- Pronghorn
5- Black Bear
I have had the same results in my Rem. 700 22-250. It shoots the 64. Gr. BSB very well. That bullet will do everything the partition will imo. Good luck!
We have two general season charges as well. Looks like I will be carrying my muzzy and my daughter will be using her Savage 7mm-08 on her first big game hunt!

I lined up 4 milk jugs and a couple other jugs behind them just in case. I shot from 20 yards. It destroyed the first 3 jugs. The 4th...
Thanks guys, I love the look of the merriams too. Here in Utah we have merriams and rios. I think completing the slam would be really cool! So far I have shot the rio and merriams. One thing is for sure, when you call in a nice bird you cant wipe the smile of your face for quite a while!
