Duplicating the MK316 Mod 0 QL request Please.

I’ll run you one when I get home. I know that on the 175 gr Federal GM that 43 gr of RL15 pretty much duplicates it and even though the manufacturers use canister powder when you pull a 175 the powder looks an awful lot like RL15.

I’ve run most of the factory loadings through mine. The 88 ELD and the Hornady Black 75 Gr BTHP we’re very good to excellent in mine thus far. I’ve only run them to roughly 500 though so far. The 88 factory load is really good in mine at that distance although the 75s were no slouch. Mines a...

    Ran across a good deal.

Cool. I especially like the old boxes too. Might throw the corroded ones in a tumbler and see what happens. Nice find.

    Thoughts on the PRC cartridges.

Look up the 7 Practical before you neck down the PRC. May be just what you’re looking for. I think Desert Fox on here recently built one so he would be better for actual experience. The 260 is a terrific cartridge. I agree with the earlier poster that Remington, as usual, did a cruddy job...

    45 Long Colt

If you want some fun loads 8-9 gr of Trail Boss w an Oregon Trail 250. 800 fps or so and very accurate. No big recoil either. I run 4227 for bigger loads. Works well but I think they’ve discontinued 4227. I use it for 250 jacketed up to the 335 HC. No issues shooting lead through mine so far at...

    308 or 280 for a young lady

Get any of them and put a really good brake on it. That’ll eat a big percentage of the recoil but just make sure your hearing protection is good. I lean toward the 7-08. Lot of flexibility there and there’s not a lot the 280 will do that the 7-08 won’t.
