    35 whelen

Reloader 15 with 225 grain SGK. My second choice for powder is H4895.

    Well I did it...

That is a great rifle, and I'm looking forward to hear how it shoots. The 6.5X55 is an ideal white tail cartridge, but it can do so much more.

    35 Caliber bullets Vs. Bear

The Sierra 225 gr with Reloader 17 has been a match made in heaven for my son's Remington 7600 chambered in 35 Whelen.

    35 Caliber bullets Vs. Bear

For me, a 200 gr is plenty. But if you want to go heavier, that is fine too.

Nice looking and well planned. I'm thinking it will be a shooter.

Moly and WS2 Bullet Coatings Useless?

They may increase friction, but when I was shooting moly coated bullets they seemed to reduce copper fouling. The ones that I was shooting became unavailable, so I moved away from the moly.

Loading Nosler 100 grain BTSP in .257 Roberts

My .257 Roberts was chambered in a Remington model 722, which is a short action. I seated my bullets to a OAL of .010" off the end of the magazine box. This insured that they would feed and they were still well off the lands. I've always been under the belief that published COAL is based on some...

    Forester Co Ax press

I purchased my Co-Ax (Bonanza) press in 1965. Forster later acquired them. This press has been used to load tens of thousands of rounds and still loads extremely accurate ammunition (no signs of any play). Forster continues to support my original press and has incorporated several upgrades to it...

I laughed a Little Too Hard. Relatable

It's funny as long as you didn't get hurt. I'm 74 years old I gave my climber to a young neighbor last fall. He had been using his dad's and was going to buy one. It was time for me to let it go.

22-250 brass not able to salvage

This isn't the quality that I would expect from Nosler.

    Grandpa's Old Rifle

Great story and congratulations on a very nice buck. I remember my father having three deer rifles in my lifetime, a Remington model 722 in .257 Roberts, a Remington model 760 in 30-06 (most of my lifetime), and a Remington model 700 Mountain Rifle in .280 for the last few years that he hunted...

Let me see a show of hands of the Trap Shooters on our forum.

I love shooting trap, skeet and an occasional round of 5-stand. The range is a half mile from my home so it is a weekly thing.

Which optic sights do you use on your pistols?

I have a scope on my .41 magnum but other than that nothing on my other pistols. I've been thinking about adding something to my S&W Shield Performance Center, but not sure what yet. Since this is an early Shield the slide would have to be milled.

    Down 65 lbs. goal reached

Congratulations! That is one heck of an accomplishment.

Need some ideas with this rest

Do you have a shoe repair shop close by? I'm sure they could repair it with no problem.

    Gaps in your caliber battery

A 6.5X55 or 260 Rem, 8mmX57, and a .348 Win would fill the gaps nicely. Like the .30 T/C in this post many calibers in reloading manuals still reflect IMR-4320. Since this is a discontinued powder it would be nice to see what is next inline for accuracy. I have a pound or two left but am not...

35 Whelen or 9.3x62 and why?

I'm with Jim, the Remington 700 Classis in 35 Whelen is awesome. And the name .35 Whelen just sounds more exciting than 9.3x62.
