I bought 8 lbs of Vihta N133 a few weeks ago as it was the cheapest powder for 45/70 that I found. Weird the Vihta powders used to be the most expensive.
My Marlin commemorative did that with the Buffalo Bore ammo. I bought the Marlin in 90s it was the half round half octagon barrel model and it has a 26 inch barrel so likely the Buffalo Bore which is supposed to be safe may have added pressure with the longer barrel. They likely tested their...
Well if they are discontinued better get them before they are all gone.

Some not bad prices not sure what shipping costs are.
I have 180 grain Norma Alaskan that are round nose that never tried yet but I have used the Partition 170 grain round nose made for 30/30 in my 30/06 at around 2700 fps the deer had a blood trail on both sides of its body in the short 40 yard dash before it crashed. I bought the Partition round...
Those .458 regular ballistic tip 300 grain are really rare now. You can find the ballistic silvertips but not the regular copper ones anymore. I have a few of them as well but have more of the black ballistic tipped ones.
Finally my order of Starline brass just showed up today it took almost a month but it was cheaper than anywhere else. Looking on Ammoseek the used brass sells for higher prices than the new Starline. If I have time this weekend I'll start making some test rounds.
Be careful they might want to lower weight size to get to lower prices like a 2x4 is not a 2x4. I'd hate to figure out my 180 grain 30/06 loads are actually 177.5 grain loads.
Here is a website with lots of cast bullet info.

When I do my crimping on rifle and pistol I tend to just snug them, I like Redding taper crimp die and do it as a completely sperate step.
I scored a 1000 CCI 200s from Sportsman Warehouse a few days ago. They have been rare to get it seems you have to go about 3 months to see any type of large rifle primers show up locally.
Well I just likely picked up my last powder for a long time. I grabbed 8lbs of VihtaVuori N133. Midsouth had free hazmat and it was under $300 which is weird as VV powders usually are the most expensive. I looked up loads in a few books and this will be used to load my Hornady 350 grain Round...
