I could have let him expire on his own but I dont like to see an animal suffer. The bullet did not pass thru but did get to one lung. I will be switching to 180 Ballistic tips next year. If I'm going to hunt elk or moose then I'll load some 180 or heavier Accubonds.

I shot this buck this afternoon today with my 300 RUM and a 150 grain Accubond. Used the G7 rangefinder to get the correct MOA for the 552 yard shot. The buck dropped on the spot I hit him in the right shoulder and was still alive when I got up to him so he got one more in the neck.

Hi Sask boy, don't get discouraged about building points depending on what type of draw system being used you can draw a tag even though its your first year. If you have a desire for a certain species apply cuz you'll never draw if you don't.

Our draw system is in serious need of an overhaul. What we really have is just a straight up luck of the draw it does not matter how many years you have been in the Super A pool everyone has the same odds. No need to re invent the wheel as there are other systems in place throughout North...

Hi yes it has I fly out of Edmonton on August 11 to Yellowknife change planes then on to Norman Wells then on float plane to base camp and from there via helicopter to spike camp where we will be left with our packs for the duration of the hunt. I have tags for Dall sheep , wolf and wolverine...
