I have a couple questions, but more about using QuickLoad data in general.
I believe SAAMI max PSI is 62,000 for the 25-06, yet I often see QL say "Near Maximum" over SAAMI pressure - is this just a setting for max PSI, and I'm sure I should just stick with not going over 62,000 no matter what...
Nice. I just got a couple more lbs of 26 so I'm going to go down that path. I have 100 TTSXs shooting lights out with 26 but want to try 120 Partitions and 110 accubonds before I settle on a bullet. Not opposed to Speer either just never tried them!
I have RCBS Full Length Resizing and Bullet seating dies for my 300 WSM. I have the same for my 25-06, but also picked up a Redding body die and the Lee Collet Neck Die, and have been happy with that setup. I still seat the bullet with the RCBS die.
I was thinking about getting the Redding...
Thanks hodgeman I saw hogdon's max for the gmx too - 7.6 grains less! I really want to try some e-tips, but in the meantime I have a stock of TTSXs and H4350. Has anyone played with this combo that could give me head start?
Barnes gives a max of 69.6 H4350 for their 165 TTSX in the 300 WSM. All other sources top out at around 65 grains (including speer), that's quite a difference, can that be right? Same for RL17 in this bullet - they give 68.6 as a max, speer's max is 65.5. Is it the bullet is that much more...
IMR 4350 is listed in the Nosler data as the most accurate for the 115s. I have H4350 on hand and was thinking it would be better since it's not supposed to be temp sensitive. Does anyone have a load for H4350 and the 115s? I tried Retumbo but my group opened up at 57.5. I'm looking to shoot...
Haha - No, I'm into reloading I'll take the 260!
I won't shoot suppressed and have to admit I don't really get the 20" barrel but have an open mind about it, and it would be a neat little package. I'd probably take whatever I got the best deal on.
Ok I have the bug now. I think a Tikka T3X CTR in 260 REM is my next gun - I want to build a long range gun, I have never had anything but rifles setup for hunting. I'm just learning about it - it's offered in a 20" and 24" barrel. There's a a lot of people out there that tout the 20", but to...
