    64 Grain .223 BSB

Thanks for the info. So far I'm sitting at 2910 with 26.0 of 748 and 2885 with 25.5 of RE-15. Not really seeing any pressure signs but based on your numbers it looks like I don't need to push for a significant gain in velocity with my current powders. Time to start trying to fine tune for...

    64 Grain .223 BSB

All, Just curious if any one else is running this bullet in a 18" barrel with a Wylde chamber. Have currently ran a short load work up using RE-15 and W748 with LC brass and CCI 450 primers. Was curious what velocities folks are seeing an 18" barrel. Thanks!

    What the Hell? Over pressure

Mistakes happen......fortunately nothing was damaged. Reminds me of the time I discovered the difference between 7.2 grains and 7+2 grains of unique. Sometimes the right side of the scale is very important. Fortunately I only pushed into 38-44 load territory but 1100fps out of a 4" 38 Special...

308 Win 125 NAB Deer Load Suggestions

Haven't tried those powders but I would think one of the 4895's would work. I use the same bullet with W748 and get about 2925fps in my two Model Sevens.

    Hearing protection when hunting

I've used Pro Ears Gold for several years and wouldn't hunt without them. They compress the sound so you still hear the shot but it's at a safe level. The only weak area they have is that I have never got them to work well at a covered range. Seems to be the sound bounces back from the roof...

    380 ACP SD bullet

I use gold dots in the .40 and all three 9mm pistols in the safe. If I had a .380 it would be stuffed with Gold Dots as well. When my brother worked for DOC and they shot competition, he asked for my advice on a duty load that they could use to shoot a 4" x 4" post down with their .38...

    Tree stands

For portability you can't beat a Summit climber. Very comfortable and relatively light weight. Modifying it to use Molle straps makes it carry even better. And carry it in and out on every trip to prevent someone from "borrowing" it.

New Remington 700 ADL Trigger - WHAT???

Funny that you get sued for bad triggers so then you provide a trigger that pulls so hard that everyone wants to tinker with them. Seems it would have been a lot easier to just put in a trigger adjusted to a decent pull to start with.

Anyone play with a 3030 contender?

RE7 will get you the highest velocities in most cases. What I found is that it can go from acceptable to too high of pressure pretty quickly as charges increase. I currently use W748 and RE15 but that is in a 30-30 AI since the chamber was re-cut. I also use the 125gr Ballistic Tip and have...

308 Win loads and 20 inch barrel

Another vote for the 125 Accubond. I load it to 2925fps in a couple of 20" Model Sevens. We have killed three deer so far with pass throughs on two of the three. The third one was a buck (est 180-185lbs live weight) that I shot twice at about 40yds when he didn't drop after the first shot...

    150 grain Accubond in 30-06

All, Thanks for the inputs! I only have access to a 50yd range behind the house but the load with 59 grains put 5 shots in about 8/10" and averaged 2948fps. A load with 59.5 grains shot better putting 5 of 7 in 1/2" but things are getting a little warm in Rem brass and the velocity...

    150 grain Accubond in 30-06

Good looking load! Trying to stay with H4350 due to temp stability I hunt in Arkansas/Oklahoma deer season temps can vary from 80's down to single digits.

    150 grain Accubond in 30-06

After years of shooting 165 Speer Hot-Cor bullets in my 1966 Remington 700, I've decided to change back to a 150 grain bullet. I previously shot Ballistic Tips but sometimes they seemed to pre-chew my deer when shot at close range so I'm hoping the tougher Accubond should be a better choice. I...

    375 Winchester

Used same bullet in my Contender....for lack of a picture the two deer I killed with mine looked like you threw a golf ball threw them.
