One of mine loves/loved the 120 gr Speer BTSP with IMR 4831 behind it. Shot itty-bitty bugholes with that load. Switched over to 110 AB's (which are as rare as Unicorns) and one liked RL-19 and the other liked H4831 in a medium speed load.
Now playing with some RL23 and RL 26 just to see what...
where did you find some to try out?
I'm thinking of this in a couple or three rifles I have - 25-06, 243, 264 WM and whatever else I can put it in.
Saw the thread on the 280AI luck folks are having, just wondering what else has been tried?
Ok, I took a few days off for Easter (and turkey hunting) and went to another friend's ranch. He'd built a range there that went out to 1500 yards!
Winds were fairly light so I brought out the 243 and checked it at 300, 400 and 500.
The target at 300 fell over on the 3rd shot so no...

Just might become my go-to sub 250 yard rifle!
Just picked up my 2nd S2. This one in the 243. Easy to load for with a wide variety of powders and bullet weights.
Mine prints 5 shot groups under .75" all day long. He'll enjoy it!
I have an older Model 600 with the 18.5" (I think) barrel. I load the 95 gr CTBT's with a no-name scope on it. Shoots sub-.6" groups. Load info is in the pic.
A couple of weeks ago I started the load workup on a new Weatherby Vanguard S2 243. I loads with the 85 gr partition, 90 gr Accubond, 95 gr Balistic Tip and a 100 gr Sierra GK.
Though I didn't try a bunch of different powders on each, after the results I had, I'm sticking with the AB's and the...
