    257 Weatherby

Yessir, that was a sore point with me and the monos. I did shoot a few into jugs that tore off petals. While I’m sure penetration was probably enhanced, I actually wanted a fairly intact bullet to create more havoc as it passed through. Penetration isn’t usually too big deal on deer anyhow as...

    QL question

The one you posted is a run for all powders. Lets you have an idea which ones may be good. For what you are asking you want an individual run on 4831 only. That will give a list of charges with that particular powder.

    257 Weatherby

The 100 TTSX and Etip are wicked run at Weatherby speeds. I’m trying to remember the load but it was a good bit of RL22 (I think around 70 gr or so) should run those mid 3300s to low 3400s. Haven’t had a deer walk away from one of those yet. :) The Weatherby is the only one I run monos in, but...

    Ba factor for Reloder 26?

I'm the guilty party on that post Dan. I've seen some weird burn rates on 26. It seems for the 06 based cartridges 345 to 355 is pretty good.

    6.5 Creedmoor load development

You’re correct. When you want them tight is when they are all one load, powder grains etc. They will certainly open up using various powder weightings.

    Velocity-Pressure...When to Stop?

An ejector mark is just going to be a little shinier place on the case head. Flat primers as the others mentioned. Loose primer pockets showing up when you reload them is another indicator that you’re pushing the limit also.

    6.5 Creedmoor load development

Just be aware using OBT that the seating depth change is actually changing barrel time. The magnetospeed does change poi when attached. I don’t notice a significant difference in group size just poi. Of course, when shooting only for velocities I don’t use a target as all I care about is...

    6.5 Creedmoor load development

I wouldn’t go as high as 42.2, 42 looks like the top of that node. Try some at 41.7. May just find some magic there.

They make good barrels. I think you’ll like it. I picked one in that cartridge up about a year ago

    Who's hunting with a lever-action this year?

For my home state I'll be using two Marlins, one in 45-70 the other in 444, and one Henry in 45 Colt. I like levers. I alternate rifles with stands and days so none of them get their feelings hurt.

    Burris Scopes

I have 4 and like them. The newer Veracity line is pretty slick and the XTRs are rocks.
