SPS had a special on 7mm08 120 grain Ballistic Tip ammo so I bought several boxes. Nice knowing that I'll have quality brass for reloading after I shoot these up...

130 VLD kills out of a 260. Antelope dropped like a sack of rocks. Muley buck hunched up, walked 10 yards and I put another one into his shoulder. He then dropped right there.

Yes the 95 NBT was designed by Gale Root as a big game plus everything else bullet. Steve Timm has discussed it several times over on 24HourCampfire.

I decided to skip the initial steps and buy the 7mm08 120 grain NBT ammo on sale at SPS for $20/box. Figured that after shooting it, I'd have nice fireformed brass to start reloading!

I just run them through the expander ball on my sizing die to make sure the neck is concentric. Then load and shoot!

Hey tnarb,
Nice to hear from another Hoosier hunter! I'm using the 200 grain Accubond in my 358 Hoosier. But now that we can use 6mm and .30 cal rifles, I'm using the 95 grain Ballistic Tip in my 243 for the farm field I hunt.
Good luck on Saturday!!!

Shoot the 95 grain Ballistic Tip - you'll kill stuff dead and never miss what you think you might get from a 90 grain Accubond. There's a reason Gail Root designed and used the 95 NBT.... hint....
