It does not concern me that the fbi knows I purchased an over under shotgun and A bolt action rifle last year with a credit card. The points I got from these purchases bought me a pair of shoes. . . Pretty sure they can get whatever info they want from the dealer or the shipper or my phone...
Human population in utah is exploding and places to hunt are shrinking. Worst
Part is in the winter there is much less habitat for big game to migrate into and more roads and fences to cross.
My oldest daughter drew a goat tag this year-and got accepted into a college program so we Will see...
Same problem as every other store-they just hire whoever will actually show up. But I have also had a certified gunsmith screw up a scope mounting job years ago. Probably what propelled me to learn how to do my own. I’m glad you got it finished-good luck shooting!
Chub Eastman gets credit for making that statement as well-
The bullet failed when it came apart, lost its lead-unless they were actually designed to do that. I don’t use partitions for this very reason.
The Accubond is my favorite nosler bullet and would be in my top three all time...
Maybe consider aoudad in Texas or New Mexico. . .
Me and my two oldest daughters have a handful of good tags this year including a mtn goat and private property deer tag for the girls. The hard part is getting them to walk away from college and high school and sports etc to actually do a hunt...
Shed Hunt! I actually mount turkeys and I don’t have one in my home-they do take up a lot of space and unless under glass, they are the devils own to keep clean. I’ve been working with a guy who is killing one or two in each-and every state. We use plaque shaped like the state he killed them...
Maybe tighten the parameters a bit as “firearms” is extremely broad. I have several older Remington rifles that were awesome but I wouldn’t buy a new model. My nosler (28) is a great rifle, easily one of my go to favorites
We figured this once at 50fps per inch gain or lose. If you are ringing steel at distance the inch matters. If you are in the Maine woods it won’t.
I would not hesitate to buy one with a 22 inch barrel but I don’t care for the 20 inch.
Modern bullets are only good if they are accurate in...
I suppose the .270 win has likewise been lost in that shuffle or maybe the one sometime later. It has always been a mainstay for western hunting and I don’t need to even mention Jack O’ Connor-but I will because he was awesome.
But it seems to have been pushed aside in favor of short mags and...
I have four .30-06 rifles and my brother keeps two. One is dads old Remington 700 adl that I restored and upgraded and his other is his very Left handed Remington 700 cdl.
I do the loading for all of them-it’s amazing how some time at a loading desk and at a shooting range can transform wood...
Utah broke a decade of moderate drought with a historic winter, for cold and snow depth. Now the days are getting up into the 60’s and the flooding has begun!
Good call on snow tires, think I’ll change the wife’s car tires this morning. . .
I grew up in a family of eight kids on a family farm. I was in charge of rabbits from about age ten until I left home. I think I kept six does and one buck and I was always killing and butchering and cleaning and freezing rabbits!
Today the thought of field dressing and keeping a wild rabbit...
I guess I subscribe to the “bigger is better” grouping. There is a “tiny ten” collection that many hunters get excited about but I simply can’t afford to pursue those kinds of collections, but I also wouldn’t hesitate to shoot some of them if opportunity arose while hunting other animals...
My crate arrived a short time ago. It shipped from s africa to my importer in California. They cleared it through customs and shipped it to utah to a USDA certified taxidermist. ( special thanks to Merlin!) He made an appt to have the warthog skull inspected and then it was cleared for me to...
