shooting a 7mm Allen mag, driving a 160 accubond at 3550 fps, sighted in at 300 (2.1" high at 100) had a TOF of 1.6 sec. on that 1350 shot

Copy that, I figured you were shooting a super high performance cartridge. That sucker is flat out moving!
yep its an awesome round, a 338 lap necked...
yeah thats a lot , 2.5 full revolutions of the dial, congrats on a well tuned load, most I ever dialed was 22.5 Moa on a 1350 yard shot on a whitetail. congrats again, your TOF was what like 1.8 sec.?

Thanks, farthest I’ve pushed my rifle is 1,034 on game, and my buddy was on the trigger...
Thanks, farthest I’ve pushed my rifle is 1,034 on game, and my buddy was on the trigger. TOF was about 2 sec acording to AB. What cartidge are you shooting and zero range? 22.5MOA for 1350 is dang flat if you’ve got a 100 yard zero
Don’t mean to derail the thread, lots of good info. I’ve only worked with the .30 cal variations on the ABLR and ELD’s but what I have found are the ABLR’s are very picky on their relationship to the rifling. Play with seating depth and don’t be afraid to jump those suckers a mile.
As far as...
Awesome! Thanks folks! Got a great deal on 500 of these suckers so I bought them, the 55gr BT has always shot great in this fun. Hope these will too. I’ll get to loading!
Anyone have any go-to loads for this combo? Not for a AR so OAL isn’t an issue. Have H335, varget, BLC2 sitting on my shelf off the top of my head, maybe a couple more. Anyone know if this bullet likes jump or jam?
Buddy took a Muley buck with his .300 and the trusty 215 Berger, MV 2,960fps. Shot was 275 Yards, steep down hill quarting away fairly hard. Bullet did massive damage to the liver, and lungs and was found off side right in the armpit of the buck. Deer didn’t even move, dropped like a rock.
I try to provide you folks with real world results, pictures, videos and notes to help you guys make your own educated decisions on bullet selection. I’ve always been impressed with this particular bullet.
Gerry, you probably know I am a huge Berger fan, but what I want really impressed with was I wasn’t convinced the 140 Elite Hunters were opening. The lungs weren’t soup, there was a single hole through the lungs and the exit was quite small. It put his antelope down, but I was wondering if the...
Gerry, the 210 ABLR definitely impressed me on two cow elk I shot last year. I’d read they were fragile but I didn’t find that the case, the put the cows down hard last year and I pulled one bullet out of a cow at 688 yards and it was picture perfect. I hope the 129gr version does just as well...
