Saw this from the good folks at silencerco and had to share! Too deep for my pockets to ever do but I'm hoping some of you may get to go on an adventure for one!

I'd go 8 twist and not look back, I run 7 twist in my 3 .223's and have no problem. The 22-250 has a big velocity advantage so 8 will probably be sufficient and you won't have near the chance of blowing up Bullets.
140 Hybrids and H4831SC works well out of my buddy's custom creed, can't remember what the charge is but it shoots sub-half MOA groups all day long. I know he jumps them 0.015", uses Norma brass and Fed 210M primers, I'll check on charge. He only runs his at 2,720fps but it shoots so dang good...
I wouldn't have any hesitation to use the ELD on deer, I really think they'd put them down hard and fast after seeing how they performed on those cows. The only real downside to the ELD on deer is its gonna be a nasty wound and you'll probably lose more meat than you would with a ballistic tip...
Let offs are tricky, you've definitely got to watch for them like a hawk! I've been caught Many times from that as well, Guy!
Scotty I think you need to build one just like mine  you won't regret it man! And it's only money, you can always make more.
Well, increased performance is probably the biggest factor as to why people get wildcats. I've had a .338 Edge and I really liked the performance of it with 300gr SMK, I just couldn't justify the cost of it when I had my .300 Win. Mag. Which for all my practical applications would do everything...
Well, just ordered a 15-60x52mm Vortex Golden Eagle for an F-Class rifle I've got in the works, going to see how it compares to my 15-55NF. Will report once I get the two side by side on the range. Excited to play with it though.
Nosler had more case capacity than Remington, Winchester, Hornady and RWS, how much more I can't remember off the top of my head. For the 200gr AB and H1000, I'd start at 74.0grs and work up. That bullet has a really long bearing surface when tends to bring up pressures quite a bit, and with the...
Typically I'll use the resources around me Kestrel, flags, mirage and dial my first shot based on what I see. When hunting or practicing for hunting, I can spot the majority of my shots through my scopes, so if a correction is needed, I'll hold off for a follow up, it is just faster.
In...
Buddy and I snuck to the range today after church, it's been a blustery day in the hundred acre wood for sure, winds 15-30MPH all day. But, the winds gonna blow in competition and while hunting, so why not shoot in it?
215 Berger's from the .300 definitely have an advantage in the...
For WT in that cartridge I don't think you could go wrong with a ballistic tip, accubond, sst, or Berger. I bet they'd all result in bang flops. If it were me, I'd use whichever one of those four shoot the best.
When I swapped scopes the rings got swapped out as well. Action has been trued and lugs squared up. The thought of a micro fracture somewhere in the action has crossed my mind, and I really don't want that to be the case. I could take the action to work and MPI it to be sure. If it does have a...
So a while back, I put together a 6.5x47, set up just like my .300 to practice with and just have fun. Here's the specs:
Remington 700
McMillan A3
Jewell trigger
28" Hart 1-8" twist
20 MOA Kelbly and rings bases
6.5-20 VX-3
I used the same reamer my buddy used in his 6.5x47 F-class gun and it...
Sweet! Those ELD's will shoot. As far as which load to go with, I'd keep them all. it's nice to have options, plus the different color tips allow you to accent your range outfits  they'd all work great on deer and speed goats!
