    New build

Decided on a AICS 2.0 with pistol grip upgrade for a stock, may as well keep it similar to my AIAW only lighter.

    New build

I think i have the 22x47/6.5x47 switch barrel sold. Am going to build a 6x47 lapua coyote rifle "kind of a compromise between the two". Better long range efficiency than the 22x47 and less recoil than the 6.5x47, at least the theory sounds good. Not sure as to all the components yet but i have...

    AR-15 shortage is over

Crazy, people were paying nasa prices for wal-mart quality. Would expect a flooding of the market with low end ar-15s.

Where the .223/5.56 is legal for big game...

In regards to the trail camera being illegal, i think you can employ a trail camera legally before and after the big game season. Using a trail camera during the big game season is illegal.

    LR-AB's

The bergers are around 50 a box at most retailers per 100, you will get a break if you buy 500 at a time. The 208 amax is retailing around 34 per hundred if you can find them. In my experience they work well on animals also.

Where the .223/5.56 is legal for big game...

There is nothing in the montana regulations that mentions anything about magazine capacity. Under firearms it states: there is no rifle or handgun caliber limitation for the taking of big game. I could not find anything else pertaining to firearm restrictions. In other words a 10,20,30 or 100...

    Bipod

Harris is the way to go for a hunting bi-pod, i have several of them and they have been solid. spend the money and get the pivoting head. Stay away from shooters ridge, caldwell, and any other harris look alike for under 50 bucks unless you dont plan on using it.

Thanks guys. Joel yeah my favorite smith won it, the one your thinking of showed up on a mild day and shot a 24. Few men have the grit to come back from that. Ha! I did get the AIAW finally and am impressed with it, i will post more when i actually shoot it today!

    ployhar precision .284 win

My shooting partner started a custom rifle business called ployhar precision recently, his debut at the potomac rifle match went well with both of our .284 win's taking 1st and 2nd. I talked myself into 2nd on the last stage. Possible score 67, 1st 52, second, 50 3rd 49 and it drops off steeply...
