Accubonds are delightful bullets that penetrate till tomorrow and hold their weight really well. I use them in 6.5-300, 280 rem , 300 win and wby, 300 rum, 30-06, 338 rum both 225 and 250’s. The only rifle I don’t shoot them is my 7 rem mag I use the 175 partitions. Killed bighorn sheep , mule...
Well to try and answer your questions sir , I would assume the manufacturer tested it out before selling. I circled the areas and ejector marks. I will mic them out tomorrow morning, worse thing I will do is pull em dump em and start load development. Lots of humidity with freezing fog...
Fired my Christensen arms mesa today for the first time. Factory nosler loads saw pressure spikes. Elevation was 1400 temp was 28 Fahrenheit. Accuracy was there but the shiny spots concern me.
I shoot the big magnums just make sure the rocks in my head stay loose and not settle. 😉, someday it will be back to the 22-250 more but not today. The 28 nosler found its way home with me . 👌
338 rum with NOSLER accubonds will be my choice. I am sure hornady makes a quality product and that s great and all, but I will be sticking with nosler.
I have 2 a bolts a Christensen Mesa and browning bar. They all have 24” tubes. Bolts shoot 180’s and 185’s at 3k. Bar shoots 200’s @2850 . I would lop 2” off and not worry about it.
This is why I wanted to start this thread, I never thought about marking a trail with toilet paper, great idea. It helps us all think outside the box and get home to our loved ones safely.
My two must haves are a lighter and tampons or maxi pads. All these havalon knives and scalpel type knives someone’s going to get cut badly. The warden was on blood thinners when she killed a cow elk with archery equipment. She was super insistent on getting in the action, I wouldn’t let her...
It would be really hard to change that load for elk. 165’s will do just fine, pop their lungs and it’s over. I have had extremely good results with h1000 and 180’s and 200’s. 78 grains to be exact. Good luck this fall
After 27 years of being in Washington state it finally happened. 260 yard shot 338 rum 250 grain nosler accubond 96.8 of retumbo with fed gm 215 primers. My first bear by myself. I got to my spot at 530 pm was hot as I sat in the shade. At 6 pm he strolled through the berries and gave me my...
