    Fur Friendly .223 Rem load

Thanks for the input folks. Sadly don't have a 17 and after getting a few pelts I doubt I'd be planning on using it much after that. Do have a .22lr and perhaps some Hi-Vel might be for it. Just started developing load for the E-Tips so that might be a good thing. M

Think I'm getting somewhere with a .44 mag lever load

Well folks, After a fair bit of trying, think I have an OK hunting load for the .44 mag. Vihtavouri N110 powder Magtech Large Pistol Primer Nosler JSP 240gr The below is just a 4 shot group from the ladder and I reckon the top right is a pull. Only 50 yds but I reckon a place to...

    Fur Friendly .223 Rem load

So folks, what do we reckon? I have some: 62gr Federal Fusion (Factory) - Deer bullet really but not too soft. 65gr Sierra SBT - Not many of these sadly. Hard to come by 55gr Nosler E-Tip. Plan on developing a load for these, probably a bit over 3250 fps 58gr Peregrine VLR4 - Another non-lead...

    new rifle 6.5 X 55

This might be sacrilege on this forum but 140gr Sierra Gameking SBTs are a lovely option for 6.5x55. As you say, #3 looks great!

    Fur Friendly .223 Rem load

Hi folks, Looking for a fur friendly .223 Rem bullet. I am under instruction that some nice fox pelts are required. I've never hunted for fur before so wondering what people recommend? I'm tempted to try the Nosler Ballistic Tips Lead Free but not sure if they wouldn't leave a large hole...

    55gr E-Tip

Nice one. I just picked up some 55gr E-Tips that I will load in .223 Rem (22" - 1:9 CZ527) with X-terminator. Main quarry will be our little deer or roe deer, Muntjac and Chinese Water Deer. Do you think they will be too hard on a fox?

.224 60 gr Ballistic Tip Varmint

Hi there, No, sadly not market for pelts here. Is purely a pest control exercise. If my order is successful I will try some with Ramshot X-terminator Muntjac

.224 60 gr Ballistic Tip Varmint

Hi Folks, Apologies for resurrecting an old thread. Was looking at this bullet for shooting foxes (obviously) and also shooting longer range (for a .223 Rem so 300 yds and maybe a bit beyond). Has anyone tried this bullet as at longer ranges? Rifle is a 22" barrel CZ 1:9 twist (fine with...

44 Rem Mag and 240gr JSP Info in Lever Actions

Thanks Brian. I have a local stockist of N110 so I will try that (Advertised as a rifle powder afterall) and if that doesn't work I shall try and get Enforcer. I put in what should have been a "full" crimp (at least according to the die instructions) so reckon I will have to either try and...
