Well the ABLR's were already in hand so I may as well see what they do.

I have always just set OAL to .010 jump and worked charge weight for accuracy and then maybe vary seating on my he best charge.
With the new long range bullets I'm leaning more and more toward using a medium charge to evaluate OAL first and then working powder type & charge afterward.

Nice progress.
So what is it that you have learned about the ABLR to facilitate the improved result?
I too gave up on the ABLR in my 280AI but then went back to working seating depth and ended up with a great load
Pretty typical for Remington at least. Don't give up though, I was able to get sub 1/2 MOA loads for my 308 that fit in my Wyatts extends box magazine.
Even with the extended box they jump a long ways but they shoot
When doing load work up or accuracy test I set a timer between shots. I'm in southern part of Texas so Winter months get 3-4 minutes between shots and summer months get 5-7 minutes. This is considering sporter weight barrels shooting in the shade. I adjust for heavy barrels or shooting in sun.
This thread caused me to go back to load development for this bullet in my 280AI. Glad I did, this is my son's 1.8" group at 375 yards and yes this level of accuracy has been consistent out to 800.
Crap! Both
Actual load is 59.7 g of N-165.
And if you see my other thread, at least for me Nosler data is off for this combo. The Nosler minimum load is near the same as the max load for my other 2 sources for this round yet my velocities are in line with the others.
I was so confused by...
