I have a decent amount of 7828ssc but could go fast! With many cartridge and bullet combos I have i might have to pick and choose! Between 7saum, 6.5prc, 277fury, 243win and both 300 and 264wm it'll be gone in a blink of an eye. Only vv powders will be there to take up the slack:(. I...
The 1st nosler manual i bought was the 8th edition. The only manual i ever owned until then was a Sierra #5 in '84. Only shot Sierra's until '14 before I ever bought any other brands.
factory ammo comes before component sales do! handloaders/reloaders aren't even in 2nd place, more like 5th and 6th when you count specific powders, primers, bullets and brass. match ammo gets top pic on ever component per manufacturer! wonder why we sort bullets and brass..........there's...
in a way regardless of using factory ammo it's a little deceiving. different powders behave differently in different lengths (excluding twist for now) can yield a wider difference or a closer difference. i'd say try imr4064 in all the weights used for a better comparison or imr4895 or h4895...
i do have my favorite (264wm), but i'll play the field! it's great having a multitude of many offerings for me and the family as some have grown into their favorites.
Yes and no!? It's close but no cigar data. You might find data that's the same in 1 cartridge with 1 specific bullet as that's rare. My suggestion is NOT to use 1 in the other! I've seen the same for h and imr 4350 and I know that's a no-no!
you can as far as i know on ql twist or even primer used. not even sure if twist effects velocity or those within 1 rate of twist higher or lower? grt might have that option
all of those should work fine in the 9 twist. the heaviest i've shot so far in my dad's pre64 mod70 264wm was sierra 140sbt's using 61.3gr of imr4831. after 2,500+ rounds i stopped shooting it. now i have 2 more 264wm's. post64 and a custom built from a 110 action w/32" 7.5t McGowen for...
you left out the 3rd key component...................duct tape. every farmer/rancher knows you can fix 99% or everything with wire (bailing or barbed) hammer and duct tape🦆:ROFLMAO:
I crimp all pistol and rifle rounds for semi and ba's (don't own any rrevolvers). It's a choice as we use what works for the individual! I will say 357sig need a crimp as there's not much neck to hold the bullet very well. Probably any bottleneck pistol cartridges need it.
i'm another of these young'ns on here..............i was 3 3/4 (3.75 for decimal lovers) years old and couldn't say what i was doing. depending on tod i could've been bouncing around in the feed truck out feeding cattle of my parents teaching me how to write right-handed cause they couldn't...
