well not totally, but getting close. since i build lots of AR's i've decided to finally get a 6.8x51/277fury. i ordered the needed dies and bought some hybrid cases along with 1,500 27cal135gr fmj-bt's. i won't be reloading over 65k of pressure which almost defeats the purpose of the...
as long as the spring will fit on the rod (and not be to loose) you should get a decent reading. i've always thought about using a valve spring tester...
what do you like or not like about the fx compared to the rest? to me the base seems to light from videos i've watched where as not as stable? i guess you could always add some weight to it or mount it another way? i found a couple at a reasonable price and might give it a go?
i guess they act differently in various states. in the Texas Panhandle area bobs fly and blues run. don't see much quail in the last several years, but on occasion see a few. south of me about 15-20 miles a classmate of my brother shot a cougar that weighed about 180#. i did see 2 cubs...
there were a few hunters a couple of years ago that at least 1 used a beretta 28ga superlite (something like that) he used for quail. man, that gun was super crazy light. felt like it maybe 4#.
that's where i ordered 1 from also. no tax and no shipping to Texas for $349, but won't ship till after 6/17/25 as it's all on pre-orders. can't beat that price as it's $50-125 cheaper than everyone else!
btw, i have the velociradar to compare a side-by-side. i'll order a garmin xero also...
if they run and don't fly, you have blues, but if they fly you have bobs.............at least that's how they act where i'm at. we didn't use dogs, but most likely they'll fly because of the dogs. i've killed many when i was in elementary school using a 410 single shot. i prefer quail over...
congrats on the 10 year anniversary! i went off the rails and have 6 kids and going on 31 years the end of july. 4 have graduated hs and that leaves the twins (boys) to go. 3 more years and they'll graduate hs. i am so ready for that as i'm tired of the school district and i graduated...
i have 2# of 22 and possibly 2# of 17 if you want them!
i also have 2# of 25 if someone want them!
i haven't done any loads, so it'll be a waste on primers for doing load developments and having a max number of shots of 250.
btw, what are your plans with the lrt cartridge(s) wise? the lrt i...
