Don't know about price increase but seen powder showing up that hasn't been available for quite awhile. In two different stores I have seen H4895. This has been absent in my area for some time. Not cheap but available. Think was $65-67 lb.

I like the looks of these better than the older Mod 77.

I like black powder as you do. Prefer it to Pyrodex. It's not hard to clean up after shooting either. Just make sure to remove all the fouling. Have tried different solutions over the years but one I use a lot I found in Muzzle Blasts magazine years ago uses Murphys Oil Soap, rubbing alcohol...

If not counting the 35 Rem I could be happy with a Nosler BT for all the deer hunting I do. No BT, AB or PTs made that would be a good fit for this cartridge, but it is an exception for sure.

Developed these two loads for this rifle. Makes three. It's good to go for now.
