    139gr Hornady Interbond

Hornady discontinued them, thinking that the CX is the replacement for it. I agree that it's too bad that they stopped making them.

    Stocky’s Carbon Fiber Stocks

Dad wanted to lighten up his Wby Vanguard 270 Win rifle, so I purchased one of the carbon fiber "Classic Hunter" design stocks, and painted it up for him. My thoughts - I wish it had a better recoil pad. It does NOT manage recoil for a 270 Win as nicely as the Peak 44 stock does on a titanium...

    300 Weatherby Mag.-Mark V Fibermark Value?

Nice. No brake or MagNaPort, correct? The stock appears to be in relatively nice condition. The paint on them gives the stock a nice grip but seems to mar easily. I would say at least $900, but you might get a bit more based on the condition.

    Howa .223

I also take a Dremel tool and some Flitz to the sear/trigger surfaces to polish them. It helps smooth it out.

    Wyoming Draw results out!

Wow. Well done. Given the continued marked decrease in antelope tags we decided not to donate to Wyoming Game & Fish this year until it's time to buy points. I'm jealous of those who drew, as it's one of my favorite hunts.

    Savage 300 130 ttsx

42.7 grains of LVR, Winchester Super X cases. I looked over my load development targets, and it was obvious which was best. The groups shrunk as I increased to 42.7, and increased beyond it. 0.3 grain change weight changes between loads. The nice thing about LVR is that you really can’t stuff...

    Savage 300 130 ttsx

I'll check for you. That data is at home, not on my phone. Take a look also at the article I previously linked on it.

    Savage 300 130 ttsx

My data shows 2600fps with the LeveRevolution and Sierra 150gr SPT Pro-Hunter. If you really want, I think there is room to go up since you're 20gr less in bullet weight.

    Bite me ODFW

We didn’t even put in for WY this year. The antelope tags are so scarce - and so are the antelope - that the odds in our area aren’t worth it. And, it’s not worth using all our points right after a drought and a couple of hard winters. I suspect we will again try CO cow elk late this year.

.300 Savage 130 grain TSX or TTSX for elk?

https://ataleoftwothirties.com/?p=1026 I used the LeveRevolution powder in my Dad's 300 Savage with 150s and had excellent results. The bonus is that it's generally available and affordable.

I'm shocked that his dog hasn't been "shipped off to a farm with more room" or something similar. That thing is a menace. Wait until it bites the Prime Minister of X country....

Ruger American Rifle .308 22” barrel 1 in 10 in twist.

Heavy bullets in a .308 is a relative thing. Due to case size, while you can shoot them the case doesn't really have the horsepower for 180gr bullets and above. Or, it's not the sweet spot. 150-168s are where the 308 really shines. Having said that, if you trim the trigger spring to just under...

    Some 223 action

I had to have that done on a Mk V in 300 Wby a few years ago. It was done by GreTan, but they're not doing these at the current time as they're too busy. It completely resolved the problem as well. They alleged it would make the rifle more accurate too, and I can confirm that it surely didn't...

Kimber Hunter trigger pull adjustment and shooting technique help

There's a KimberTalk forum with instructions: https://www.kimbertalk.com/threads/kimber-hunter-rifle-trigger-adjustment.64546/ I have almost all of my plethora of rifles at 2# pull weight. That includes any used in the winter, and generally if I'm shooting my finger is out of a glove. There are...

I've done several. They are not difficult to do, and I have seen accuracy and repeatability improvement in bedding them. Have you bedded any rifles previously?

New issue for me with my 300wby!!

Ouch! You're lucky it appears to have "just" been hitting. If you would ever put on a 30 cal suppressor I'd look VERY hard at the threads on your muzzle. I would wonder if they're not square to the bore.
