If she's bound and determined to get that rifle, at least have her get the Axis II, which has the AccuTrigger.
The regular Axis trigger is just plain horrid, even if you try to massage it. I've tried.
The only option then is to spend $100+ on the Timney replacement which then makes it at least...
Once you get a remote trigger, anywhere you want.
Generally, it's immediately to the left of me on the bench.
If you do not have a remote trigger, the placement of the end of the barrel to the unit can make a difference in whether it triggers.
The cost?
The app can be a bit quirky, though it's much better than it used to be. In the days when middle school kids design apps for your phone, one would think that a company using it as the main connection to their expensive equipment would do better. I don't change the settings for the...
Diffuser or not, I would see 100+ fps variation if it was a sunny day using my optical chrony. I took to shooting at the range very first thing in the morning or only on overcast days. Eventually getting the Labradar cured the problem
For those who do it - note that water adds ( or subtracts) nothing to the process. You're just making your brass wet.
Try annealing a case for, say, 30 seconds. The anneal doesn't travel down the case very far, you just make the shoulder way too soft. Brass is not steel, so quickly cooling it...
If nothing else, the medium action.
The first time I loaded up my 6mm Rem I couldn't believe how short I had to make it to fit in the action of the rifle.
There is way too much potential that is displaced by having the bullet seat in so far.
I didn't like messing with mounting the Magestospeed, and found that it always seemed to loosen up no matter how much I tried to tighten it. That loosening changes harmonics, which changed groups. That's one of several reasons it was sold.
Ironically that is one of the few reasons I stay on FB.
My range posts updates there far more than by email or other ways, and since it's 45 min away I like to know if there's a closure before I leave home.
I have a Chrony Beta Master, sold my MagnetoSpeed, and in the end only really use my LabRadar.
With the LR, get a battery pack, remote trigger, and stand or tripod. I also have the LR case to pack it all.
Consider an improved sight as well, or do the straw trick as a sight.
Also, get an SD...
To add, I have an Eagtac G25C2 with the default XM-L2 LED module.
It uses a rechargeable 18650 battery (buy a good one) or two CR123A batteries.
The beam distance is incredible, and it's on every hunt that I go on.

I also have two Eagtac...
Define "best."
As with cartridges, it depends on your goals and objectives.
What parameters are you looking for in a new flashlight, other than LED and batteries?
Enduron powders were announced last year as unavailable and no longer made.
Norma powders have been unavailable since 2020 and are no longer imported to the US, therefore no longer commercially available to us. I have no idea if they are available in Europe.
I haven’t. So far I have gotten very good accuracy without it, and in these days of limited primers and powders I’ll take a sub-MOA group and go with it. To then tweak with a crimp and 1/4 or 1/2 turn @ 3 shots each… Nah.
The one rifle I tried it with I noted zero difference, so that didn’t...
