Let the good times roll ! My youngest grandson is 5 years old. He frequently asks his mother if he can sleep at grandpa's house. If it's a school day, so he is told - No. That little dude just cries and cries. LOL I don't spoil them because that's grandma's job, but we sure have fun together...
Several years back, I got quite exasperated by burning out custom barrels. The cost of frequently rebarreling was beginning to bother me. I told my gunsmith to build me a rifle that would shoot great every time I picked it up and would NOT quickly burn out the barrel. He built me a .308. With...

I occasionally bring my brother to the range to punch holes in paper. He's not really a shooter and the two rifles he owns I bought for him. For a short while, I had two pairs of Sordin OTH (amplified) hearing protection, so I let him wear a pair. He told me that he was hearing...
Sounds enters the audio canal (or whatever you call it) from all around your ears, not just through the opening. Over-the-head protection is far better than anything that you put into your ear. A comprehensive hearing test includes detecting sound that does not directly enter the opening in your...

Most of us don't have a safe full of rifles because we "needed" them. We have them because we "wanted" them. It sounds like you want a 6.5-280AI. so go for it.
I just loaded up some Grand in my 280AI. I decided to use magnum primers with the ball powder rather than the Fed 210M primers I normally use. We'll see how things work out next week when I get to the club.

A guy just posted for sale the perfect bullet for the 300WSM over on LRH forum. He's got 15 boxes of .308 180gr Accubonds. IIRC he's asking $40/box and will ship for free if you take 4 or more boxes. That should take care of the supply issue.
I shot a S&W model 29 with heavy hunting loads fairly often. While the recoil was noticeable, I got used to it. A friend of mine had a Charter Arms Bulldog and asked if I wanted to try it. Never one to turn down an offer to shoot a new firearm, I said "sure". One cylinder full of his ammo and I...
