    35 Whelen

Looks to me Dan may have chugged it rather than merely drinking it. I have to admit that kool aid does taste might good if I do say so myself.

    300wm and RL26

The load sounds great to me, I'm digging it and it's not even my rifle.

    35 Whelen

Thanks Dan I like it so far. You know what you're right the bolt is on the wrong side, for a lefty that is.

    35 Whelen

All I can say damn (y) . Not sure which is more impressive, the looks of the rifle or the group it shoots.

    300wm and RL26

There several things besides pressure than can cause primer cratering. The primers still have a good radius, I'd worry not in the least.

    Quick Load Request for .30-06

Hodgon used to have reduced loads recipes on there site. Have you checked there? Do a Google search for 06 reduced loads, you should find what you are looking for.

    35 Whelen

What is the length of the new barrel, 24? Isnt a 35 usually a 1:14 or 1:16? Why a 1:10? I really like the sounds of your 35 newton. If my whelen did not shoot I was going to talk with you about making a newton. But in all fairness to me boredom might convince me to do a 35 newton anyway.

    Quick Load Request for .30-06

If I'm not mistaken h4895 is used in reduced or youth loads. Never used it myself so not much use here but 6mm Remington is correct, one of the 4350 powders is right at home with the 165s.

    35 Whelen

I'll keep that in mind as it's always nice to make a little profit from a gun sale. :P I do tend to sell rifles once I kill a bull elk with them or get bored with them which ever comes first.

    35 Whelen

Truck Driver that is an impressive group with some good speed behind it. Good shooting.

35 whelen guys help a bruther out

I don't think I can find a better load accuracy or speed wise than the one I currently am shooting. But I do like tinkering with different powders and bullets so who knows.

    35 Whelen

I would say it's pretty dang good, that is another great group. I'm banking on the 35 hitting an elk very hard.

    35 Whelen

Great looking groups Scotty. From what I'm seeing from every one it seems like you would have try to get a bad load combo. I think a 35 whelen would shoot great with either baby or baking powder and a 225 bullet.

    35 Whelen

Yes it is. My 300 rum with nightforce scope is to much for the ranges i will be encountering. My old 350 shot really well too. Really liked that rifle.

    Same here.

    Primer pockets

How many firings are you getting before they loosen up? Warm loads and or soft brass loosens primer pockets. Primer pocket cleaner should have no effect on the pocket tightness.

Bee day 30-378 and 6.5 mm

Fotis it's not like you to give up so easily. I think with a little more patients and work you could bring that 3rd shot in to eliminate the minute sliver of target paper thats between those two shots. Yet again amazing shooting Fotis, simply well done. Bill

    Trying IMR8133

Mine is a 1-10 and at the elevation I'm at a 230 is marginal for stabilization according to Berger site. I usually run 200 accubonds.

    Trying IMR8133

Very very nice, great shooting. I'll have to give it a go and see how my rum likes it.
