    RCBS X Die

I use the X die for 223 in my AR15. Every round comes out book length. Never had one come out long.

    Match vs regular primers

If your rifle isn’t capable of bench rest rifle groups, it probably isn’t worth the expense. I did a bunch of match prep on brass for a factory 223 varmint gun with a heavy barrel and composite stock. I did not see any difference even off the bench. In a hunting rifle it seems like a total...

35 Whelen Data from Woodleigh (275/310)

You can look at the Woodleigh website for more info. I believe they list the velocity floor for good expansion for their bullets.

Another 35 Remington Question, Loads for Semi Auto Rem 81?

I think I would avoid cast bullets. That is not an easy rifle to strip and if the gas system gets fouled that could be a PITA.

    Vaccine mandate and Nosler

Of course, you are talking about a vaccine that had clinical trials that lasted more than 9 months, actually eliminated the disease and your neighbor wasn't forced to get it so that yours would work.

    Primers, primers, primers

Haven't seen primers or much of any powder around here for a long time. Wish I had bought more when they were available, but I have enough to get me by for several years. Shotgun powder on the other hand is not going to last me long.

    maple stocked rifles

A guy we hunted with back in the day had a beauty with a bird's eye maple stock. Not something you see every day, and it was stunning.

New to me - 1983 Rem 700 Mountain in 280 Rem

That IS cool. I remember seeing one in 30-06 when they first came out. Wispy thin barrel and light as a feather for that era.
