    Partition vs Accubond

Neither, shoot the 180 BT's. AT '06 velocities they perform great.

    7mm Rem Mag Advice

It's not unusual to loose 100 fps when dropping from 70 degrees down to freezing. You can loose another 100 between freezing and zero. Shoot that same load on a 100 degree day and you might be close to your 3k goal.

    Bullet Stability, or Lack Thereof

The decay of rotational velocity is virtually zero. It has something to do with the law of conservation of angular momentum....

    Chrony Problems

Remmy, I owe you a bit of an appology, I misread your original post. You are saying there is a difference of 245fp, not 45 fps. The 45fps difference would fail a double tail T test at the 95% confidence interval, but the 245 FPS difference would pass this test, meaning that yes, there is a...

    One more QL request

QL recommended max pressure is 62366, so these are a little above that, but still well under the 65K accepted for modern bolt action rifles. Reduce and workup. Cartridge : .338 Win Mag. Bullet : .338, 200, Nosler BalTip 39595 Useable Case Capaci: 75.894 grain H2O = 4.928...

    Chrony Problems

Remmy, you are getting a velocity 45 fps different then predicted, with a SD OVER 30. The difference in your two expected values is close to your SD. What was your sample size? 3 shots, 10 shots, 30 shots? What all factors did you allow for? Barametric pressue? Temperature? Altitude? Were...

PRVI has a very good reputation. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it.

    7.62 x 39 load data

Jim, mine doesn't like the .308 bullets. I would try the Sierra .311's. At the moderater velocities you will be pushing them at, I would expect more reliable performance from the Sierra's.

Settle an argument for me, Solid Base VS. Accubond

If dad thinks the Accubonds will pencil through, he's just plain wrong. Maybe he's confusing them with the Barnes TSX?

    Love / hate 338 WM

Light weight .338's are not a good idea. Medium+ contour, 26" barrel will take advantage of the powder capacity, and provide good weigh to help with the recoil. That said, a buddy of mine has a Tikka in .338 Win Mag. First time at the range he ran a few of my reloads through it and produced...

    .223 / 5.56 question

Guy, I've also weighted LC brass to compare it to the commercial stuff. My experience mirrors RR, LC was lighter the FC brass and in the same general weight range as most commercial brass.

    .308 Powder help needed????

N6, with a .308 size case I'd use .5gr increments. A full grain is fine for a RUM size case, but too much for a mid size case. If you start at 42gr and load 4 per increment, one box of 20 takes you to 44gr, the book max. This will provide a moderate increase of 2k PSI per increment, giving...

    7.62x39 and H110

1680 has a good reputation is that cartridge. I belive it's very similar to the powder the soviets use. My best luck was with WC844, which has a burn rate similar to H335.

I've used both versions of H4831, but like the others previously mentioned use the SC version because it meters better.

    7.62x39 and H110

I've tried it with the 125gr NBT, but it wouldn't group worth a darn. I had to switch to a slower powder.....just don't remember which one at the moment.

Load data 30-06 180gr Nosler Part. with H4350

With the 180gr bullet you may wish to consider H4831. H/Imr 4350 is the goto powder up to 165gr bullet Above that H4831 takes over.
