    Winchester rumor

OT, it could have something to do with UN gungrabber treaty that's about to be signed by obummer. This could complicate import/export to such an extent that firms may need both a US and a European operation.

    Reloading .308 and .223 (5.56x45) with BLC-2?

Nate, although blc(2) is typically a good powder in the calibers you mentioned, not every rifle will like it with every bullet. In my .308 bench rifleit shoots bugholes with the 150 NBT, but will not group at all with the NCC's. Get a pound, try it, if it does what you need, then get the 8...

    30/06 plus 150g accubond plus W760/AR2209?

IMR4350 is probably the forum favorite in the 30.06. It's a very good place to start.

    30/06 plus 150g accubond plus W760/AR2209?

Waldo, W760 and H414 are the same exact powder. H4350 is a single base stick powder, where W760 is a double base ball powder. Although they may fit in the same burn rate catagory, they are in no way the same powder, and it is in no way safe to substitue W760 data for H4350 data. The chart also...

ADI 2209 is not equivelent to W760. It's equivelent to H4350.

    Winchester rumor

It's possible FN might make something in Portugal, but it won't be the Model 70. Have they brought back the Model 94 yet? Are they making all the Winchester shotguns yet? How about .22's? They used to make some great .22's. There are several interesting possiblilites.

    mildot help

Remmy, head out to the range, and tack up a target with 1" or 1/2" squares. Dial the scope up to max power, set the rifle in the rest, line up the dots with the squares, and count. This will tell you exactly how many inches are between dots at 100 yards. Once you have this information, you...

.264WM....is it the Intermediate Range answer?

Hodgeman, any of the cartridges based on the standard belted magnum would do fine: i.e.: .264 Win mag 7mm Win Mag 30-338 or even a .338 Win mag. My .338's set up for the type of shot you describe. I reserve the long range stuff for the 7mm STW, and .308.

    Accubond Long Range Wish List

    I'm pleased with the .227 and .284 offerings. I"d like to see: .224 60-64gr .338 225gr.

I'm an A-hole I guess! .280 AI recoils more than the 7mm RM.

    30-30 or 7mm-08

I would let the terrain decide. For thick woods with few clearings, I'd take the 30-30. In broken country with more chances for a longer range shot, I'd take the 7mm-08.

    Half a grain....

Wincher, try some H4831sc. IME it's not as sensitive to small changes as RL22, and is a top performer the .270 Win, the balistic twin of your .280.
