Resale value of your rifles- whats been your experience?

I tend to think most of the rifles I buy will appreciate mostly. The Wood stocked ones with either nice blueing or great metal. The other ones with carbon stocks and more of a working rifle should maintain value at a minimum.

    MATCHMASTER POWDER DISPENSER

You can set the machine to drop at whatever you want. Meaning if the charge is meant for 60 grains a charge of 59.98 to 60.02 is acceptable and the machine green lights it. I fooled around with the settings a bit early on and this was the most useful for me.

Twist rate for .257 115 to 130 monos; 257 AI

I’d think so. Probably up the ante a bit being a mono.

    MATCHMASTER POWDER DISPENSER

I have a SuperTrickler Jim and can’t say enough good about it. Its scale is accurate to the .01 grain which is way more than I need but I know my charges are spot on. It’s fast as well, dumping 65 grains of 26 in about 7-10 seconds. Maybe crazy to spend that money but it does work great and is...

    Talk to me about VihtaVuori

Mike always raved about VV powders. I started dabbling some and now buy more and more of them. 570 is king in the 7 Mashburn super. 540 is an awesome 223 powder with heavies. As was said the price hike on others made me look at VV powders and I’ve found no reason to dislike them. They make great...

I’d like to see both the Federal and Sierra TGK myself.

Quick load, reverse engineer for pressure?

I’m guessing 63k. Away from the computer but I’ve used a similar combo from my boys 7x57.

300 WSM in 180g Norma Bondstrike: Powder used

H4350 in the 300 WSM is excellent. I’d drop back 5% and try the Norma.

    M70 Heavy Varmint 223

Looks like all the good 223 powders are mentioned in Nosler 64 grain data. Bet it won’t take much to come up with something decent.

    Chronograph comparison

How’s it shoot Bruce? While maybe not 1000 yard numbers those still seem in the realm of pretty darn good.

Quickload data 338 win mag 200 Nosler BT 24" barrel At 62K?

I believe I’m around 70-72 grains of 17 under a 210 Swift for around 3k in my Alaskan Jim. I like 17 quite a lot in my 338’s.

    Brownells has Reloder 17

That’s pretty much my experience as well. I bet it was Mike back years ago that I got on the 17 kick. Been one of my favorites since. Just order a Lilja 1-7 7mm barrel Kimber Contour. I have not been so excited about a new rifle since the Mashburn. A 7x57 on an 84L action should be really...

    Straight Wall Wildcat

What about the grand old 444? I have heard it is the same case head size as the 06.. Might be able to make that work and in a bolt gun, I can't see anything stopping that, as far as deer species.

On the next episode of hoarders…….

You aren't kidding. I remember when I reloaded in my garage with a bench about 4ft long and made good ammo. Now I have 4-6ft benches and it's still a mess.
