    Making 35 Remington brass

The same 20 cases fired over 100 times now in total, which is exactly what I said.. 20 X ? = 100. I'll clue you in, it's 5. My point was and is, that none of those cases fired all those times have remotely failed to chamber or extract when randomly grabbing anyone of them and doing so. I...

    Making 35 Remington brass

The same 20 cases fired over 100 times now total in both hunting scenarios and on the bench. Sure, one could not chamber, but why would I expect anything to change just out of the blue until it's time to throw the cases away. I could also pull out of my driveway tomorrow and the front wheel...

    Making 35 Remington brass

There's no "feeling" like the bolt is locked. If the action bar is locked, that means the bolt is locked and it will fire. It also means that each and every time it fires the bolt is indeed locked up. Neither can happen without the other.

    Making 35 Remington brass

No stink here Dan. Ha. I'm gonna keep on doing what works in my 760. (y) I hear ya on that low pressure shoving back the shoulder. My understanding of how that works is it gets bumped back on the initial slam forward from the firing pin, then doesn't have enough pressure to fully expand the...

    Making 35 Remington brass

You don't need to "see" anything. On a 760 if it goes off, the bolt is fully rotated and locked up. If you've ever had them apart and looked at how they work, it is mechanically impossible to be otherwise. The design is both simple and foolproof. In that respect they are safer than some...

5 reloads with no signs of giving up. 8,10,12 reloads is rapid case failure??

    Making 35 Remington brass

No. They've all chambered and ejected easy in that rifle through 5 reloadings, I see no reason for that to change until the brass gets pitched. We are talking 35 Remington. When I say hot, it's hot for a 35 Remington where book loads are meant for safety on old Model 8's, 14's, 141's still...

    Making 35 Remington brass

You're doing something wrong. I'm on my 5th reloading on a batch with no signs of thinning ahead of the case web or anything else indicating they are remotely close to done yet. I've annealed twice, and just like any other brass set my die to minimally bump the shoulder. Not much case stretching...

Older eyes are still hanging on.

That's awesome. Love it when those old rifles shoot better than most people ever thought they could. I can't begin to pick up that red circle on that target at 100 yds.......not sure if I could've when I was 18 or not, 100 yds is getting out there to pick up stuff like that. That was just for...

Older eyes are still hanging on.

Don't know if they all will like them, didn't get around to testing them in all the -06's yet, but it's nice that 2 of them do.......I got a small boat load of those Sierra 150's. Lol. Least I know they got a home with 2 of them.

    Making 35 Remington brass

If you are saying that 35 Rem brass does not hold up to reloading, that is wrong.

Older eyes are still hanging on.

This load shot well in my Sauer so tried it in my 7600. Shot it 3 different times. Once with the factory sights, that put 3 at around 1 3/8", and 4 shot was just over 1.75" at 100 yds. Was actually happy enough with that because the factory sights were blurry for me. Got a Skinner Lo-Pro...

    Rem Model 7 with a 120 BT

Boy you got that puppy rolling. Good loading and good shooting. Those kind of results always makes a guy happy.

    Pay attention!

Guy, set the wrong number on a digital scale, or on a balance beam? It always worries me some as I can be absent minded about some things. So far the few times I flat out goofed up and caught it was not something that would've been catastrophic but just the fact that I loaded X number of...

Powder in Nosler Accubond Factory 180G

Long shot here maybe, but if you have some check it out. Alliants online data using Reloader 16, is showing 64.1 grains for a Nosler 180 grain partition. I have some here so I dumped some out and looked at it. Looks an awful lot like the first picture you posted. Short chunky grains of...

    Ammo cheaper than brass.

Sometimes it works out that way if you watch. Those sales on Norma ammo last yr were often right around the cost of brass, especially how cheap their 308 and 30-06 ammo was at times. Didn't need it so didn't buy any, but if a guy was looking it was a good deal. I done that a few yrs back on 35...

    Those were the days!!!!

That's great. Cheap shooting, and especially nice when you maybe hadn't remembered you had it. Good deal and have fun! (y) I got some bricks of CCI 200 large rifle primers with sticker prices on them of $12.99. I paid $12.50. Non corrosive boxer primers with an inherently long shelf life are a...

    A Return to the 30-06

There's many different variables that affect powders and pressures differently including what cartridge the powder is burned in and particular bullets used with a particular cartridge. Going down that road would never end. Bottom line is be at least a little respectful approaching max published...

    A Return to the 30-06

Good grief man. I'm not comparing anything, that's the data given. Saami max pressure recommendation for a 30-06 in CUP is 50,000 Saami max pressure recommendation for a 30-06 in PSI is 60,000. H4895 max charge is 4.5 grains less with the same bullet. You can argue with yourself for the next...

    A Return to the 30-06

Not the same by a good spread. 30-06 data which is exactly what is being discussed so I didn't go find some anomaly out in left field. 165 grain Sierra bullet. H4895 Max charge. 47.5 gr. FPS 2782 Pressure: 49,000 CUP IMR 4895 Max charge. 52 gr. FPS 2888 Pressure 57,200 PSI...
