    Old Powder, Old reloads

Making the brass from 06 is doable, but you have to turn the necks since on 22-250 brass you are making the neck out of the brass body of the 06 and making the neck thick. That's one potential problem that would lead to high pressure, difficulty chambering and inconsistent performance. If a lot...

    Reloader 17 Available

Interesting as Switzerland as of today will not sell arms etc to the US over Middle East military involvement. Reminder 17 is a great powder for most medium and large cases.

    Hunting knives recommendations?

My Montana homesteader Grandpa made his from sawmill blades. We still have a butcher, a skinner and a cleaver of his. They hold an edge better when cutting up elk deer and lamb than our high end Henckel or Solingen knives. Owning something made by a family member is the best! Perhaps something...

If you live near one of the training areas you can try it out. They rent or lend the rifles and skis and give classes. One of my friends who was a downhill instructor found out she was good at it late in life even tho she hadn’t fired a gun before. They fire 22 shorts...

Which bullet for 308 and Elk

"You do not want your first experience to end with tracking a wounded elk, or worse, losing that animal." My experiences bow hunting. The black bears were living high on the "hog".

Which bullet for 308 and Elk

Have a super lightweight 308 with a 2-7 power scope I have been using for mule deer in steep mountains. Best bullet so far accuracy wise is a 178 ELD X at 2550 fps. Would like to us the rifle for elk in the steep and wondering which bullet I have on hand to use. Distance is limited by the...

Finding BC for mIdway 2nds with flat point?

So am considering getting some seconds from Midway that appear from purchasers comments to be the Hornady ELD X but with a flat poly point instead of a sharp one. Would mostly be using them for target. Just wondering how to figure the change in BC versus the first quality items and if it is...

    100,000 PSI?

Will they be selling a. barrel with each 500 rounds. I had a little Yamaha RD 250 back in the day. Racers would outdo the 750's with them. But they rebuilt the engine for each race.
