Thanks guys. Yes, they are very nice rifles and always seem to consistently shoot well. Going to be a toss up to see which one will get the nod for deer this season. My old 444SS is equally accurate and ready for action.
Just added a Vanguard S2 stainless to my collection and looking for suggestions on loads for upcoming deer season. I have been hearing H1000, RL25 and 7828 are good powders. I have a variety of bullets ranging from 90gr GMX up to 120gr PT.
Got a chance to run this load over the chrono and pretty decent results.

Wondering if I should move up in charge?
Got a Mossberg 464, and looking to put together a load for the upcoming deer season. Any suggestions?
I have the following powder and bullets to start with.
Hornady 170 FP
Sierra 150 RN
Hornady 160 FTX
H335, W748, LVR, H4895
Thanks [emoji4]
Mine was a 100yd shot straight on to chest (deer was looking right at me and would not turn). Dropped right where it was hit. Upon field dressing, lungs were completely destroyed.
Doing some load development for my Mossberg MVP and wondering what powders to try initially. Mine is the 24” barrel varminter. Just loaded up some Hornady 55gr V-Max, 55gr Nosler CT and regular BT over H335. Twist rate is 1-9”. Thinking Varget and maybe 748?
Had my 444 out to the range today and tried some 300gr Hornady XTP with H335. Bottom is 3 shots at 50grs and top is 51grs. It’s only 50yds, but shows some promise.
