Just wondering how RL26 would work.

Thinking of picking up a Vanguard S2 in this chambering and looking for bullet and powder suggestions. Deer will be the main quarry and maybe elk. I do have some 115 BT and thought of 110 AB and 100 TTSX.

I sure love those Ballistic Tips! Got out to the range today with my new to me Remington 783 and using H4831, those BT shot very nice. This was 59grs @100yds

Just curious, but how do 130gr or 150gr reloads shoot? I used to own a S2 in 270 and it preferred 150gr.

I would try some RL25 or RL26.

Didn’t chrono them, but plan on heading out again soon and will check velocity. This is the first time I’ve ever tried the E-Tip and won’t be the last!

Thanks guys. I got drawn for anterless moose and elk this season so quite happy using the E-Tip. Tried the 200gr AB and it’s not too shabby either.

I do love the big 8. Keep us posted on how the e-tips perform.
