Answered my own question about the sharp rims on the 22 Nosler cases. (22 Nosler thread in Ammunition section) Shaves brass and imprints them into the case.

Bit the bullet and ordered a 22N barrel. I was looking for something a little longer but settled on a 20" 4150 Melonite 7.7 SPR profile, if nothing else for a starter barrel. I'll be able to experiment with loads and compare them with my 21" .223 Wylde. Oh boy, experiments :)

.223 or 5.56NATO levels? Hornady 68gr HPBT, 25.4gr CFE223 for 2800fps in the Service Rifle section. For plinking I use 24.6gr You probably won't make the velocity per the Hodgdon data.

I've never had flaking with Nickel Plated Brass. Use it in .45, .44, 9, and .357 These are OLD, and the nickel just wears down to yellow :) The .357 die is a Hornady TiNi. Steel is rusty, insert is fine after years and years.
