I’ve gotten to where I enjoy helping others get animals as much as doing it myself. I took a buddy to a nice goat hunting spot last year, the rule we usually have is who spots it gets first shot.
I said, man I’ve got goats, you go ahead. After a couple more days of hunting, enjoying the...
I have a couple as well, love them
9422 Dad bought me when I was 1 week old, never been fired to this day. It’s over 40 now.
Grandpas 1967 Winchester 94 30-30 Canadian octagon.
Marlin SS 44/45-70 matched pair.
Henry Golden boy 22
I’m planning on a year of hunting with grandpas 30-30 peep...
Pretty much all the louden boomer magnums. I’ve used it in 30-378, 300 WM, I think I tried in one 300 WSM once but I don’t recall for sure. Most of the really fast stuff long range stuff has a use for it

Wow that’s unreal. I saw they were going for about $150 per 1000 now on auction sites. Crazy. I’m gonna con the old man out of a couple boxes soon ha!

I was at the local Bass Pro snooping ammo/powder supplies. The guy told me a new ammo shipment was coming this morning. Picked up 250 9mm for $.29 per round, which is handy after having to get rid of it all to transit Canada. I feel much better not buying off GB for $.75 per round.

They don’t usually blow up, usually theres about 30% or so that does and the rest passes throughout close to it. No bullet is fool proof, but that seems abnormal.
I was turned into them by a 243 100gr from a buddies son, same shot as you, through the shoulder, passed through the interior...
So I did look up the 256 newton. That’s a really weird name for a .264 caliber. Why not the 264 Newton? That thing was ahead of its time, 3000 FPS with a 140gr. Basically the original 6.5-06. Pretty impressive considering people are getting that out of the latest greatest 6.5’s. A few fast...
Yes I was thinking 168 could be a bit slow to open, but as a new hunter my guess is they will be pretty close, so the velocity should be well above 2000 at impact. I wouldn’t be shooting that one real far, as a pencil hole is more likely the closer you get below 2000 FPS.

Sorry, I’m a natural born smart arse, we’re good. It pisses me off royally as well. Seeing 9mm going for almost $1 a pop is nuts!

I was being sarcastic.
I had to get rid of primers and powder when relocating through Canada, I had too many. I figured I can buy small rifle primers and Varget anywhere, I’ll sell these. Oops. Atleast I have all my hunting stuff, 308-300wsm-260-CM stuff. 223 I can wait on primers, no biggie...
Congrats! I never was good at running shots, so I gave it up. I have a buddy I swear he gives a warning shot, misses, then they take off and drops them first shot! I told him it’s easier to not give them a warning shot, he just laughs.
Yes sir, AMMOSEEK does powder, primers, ammo, bullets, guns in stock. Primers are all gone right now, but if it’s around, the app will find it

So I have to say, I avoided the CM due to the above reasons, I can shot it 5000 yds because of its velocity/BC/SD, every day. I even bought a 260 in order to avoid one haha.
Here’s my takeaway- 2700 FPS will kill anything, with the right bullet, seeing as I don’t shoot long range as the...
Hey guy, I found this pretty neat chart awhile back, I’d doesn’t have a ruger revolver but a heritage close to the 4” mark. They cut a barrel all the way to 2” just to see the results.
If the wind doesn’t blow, take to the oars.
