Thanks for the info Guy.. Hoping to see good velocity and accuracy in my wifes Ruger #1, 26in barrel. No magazine restriction there. It has shown good things with the 75 gr Vmax and the 85 gr BT. My 22 inch barrel Ruger M77 has a long action so that shouldn't be a restriction either. Got 4 sets...

Gerry, I plan on working up a load for my Vanguard S2 270 win. Will be trying Norma MRP and Imr 7828 SSC. 3100 looks easy with both powders, but 7828 would be MAX for that velocity. I thought about RE26, but I have a 8lb can of Norma MRP and QL doesn't show much difference than MRP. I have...

OK, went and did a bunch of measurements on the bullet.. .277 dia 1.375 OAL 145 gr BT taper is .160, .235 at the base to .277 at the thickest Ogive taper is .500, .130 to .277, not measuring the plastic tip. Hopefully this will cover what you need.. if not I can measure some more.. Thanks Ed

Very nice, (y) 257 Rob is a very underrated cartridge. Heck, back in the day it was nearly the only quarter bore going, and JOC spoke very highly of it.. My wife and I each have one and enjoy them immensely.. Take care Ed
