I have an older version with the 24" barrel that I put in a different stock. It shoots in the 3/4" range with every bullet I have tried. 100 gr. TTSX or E-Tips go 3500 fps. Just a great shooter.
I have some primed cases from the 70's I had misplaced. Loaded them up and they all shot as well as new primed cases. Loaded some 9mm cases this spring with primers I got in the early 90's and all shot well.
All this to say they last a very long time so I wouldn't worry about it.
Thanks guys, Going to try to get to the range this week. I have some partitions 125 & 140 and 500 or so 129 Hornady interbonds. I have about 80 rounds down the barrel and it cleans easier than any of my other rifles.
I agree best feeling Ruger stock and balances great.

Got one of these the other day. Very nice and seems to shoot well. Any load advice would be welcome.
I have used 140 Hornady IB with 4451, 2880 fps. Big 6x6 just south of Yellowstone pass through and no tracking needed.
At 7-08 speeds both bullets you have should work well. I have loaded 150 BT's to 2760 fps with Ramshot Hunter in 22" barrel and it shot well about MOA, some days a little...
For deer at those ranges I would go with 150 E-Tips. You can push them faster and it will penetrate. I have used 150's on deer and elk out 400 yards with no problems.
I have this one.

Both are easy to set up by one person.
