You are funny. Stupid but funny.
gbflyer--- I just like to have fun pushing his buttons and working on his overly important ego. All fun and games and the fool cannot figure it out even when I tell him so.
"WE" You said YOU killed 200 each. Now you backtrack again.
I never called anyone out until you started it. I only stated some information.
Yes you are a special kind of stupid.
I will give you the fact you may have "seen" more elk killed. I have not hunted them.
I will bet I have killed more...
where go you get tags for 10 deer and 10 elk per year and ALWAY fill them??
See you state you are in a small niche of shooters that do the LR shooting.
I also agree that many animals are wounded by "average joe" shooters who do not practice between hunting seasons. Again you pick a group that...
I will have to disagree with you still. I have seen what match bullets do when hunting. Not consistent among other things. I have "had experience and do know what I am talking about." So you can just get off your self-imposed throne.
I will stick to hunting bullets for hunting.
Feel free to do...
they are called match bullets and NOT hunting bullets for a reason.
They would be crap at 30-06FPS speeds---Especially for hunting.
You just looking to wound or miss?
Using a number of different cartridges I found that Nosler brass gave the lowest FPS with Rem/Win/Weatherby in the middle and Hornady the most FPS.
I figure it is all about case volume.
I shoot max loads and did not have trouble with pressure spikes. You seem to have.
I also found that they...
Shoot the partitions. Or Swift A-Frames.
I have use Barnes TTSX and Swift A-Frames on 2 Africa trips. I prefer the A-Frames. Animals seem to drop/die a bit faster. Shot about 75 animals with both bullets.
IF you must use e-tips then use 150gr. Do not use BT bullets at all!!
Try the 185gr TTSX and for smaller animals the 165gr TTSX Barnes bullets.
The 338win mag really shines with 225gr Swift A-Frames and 71grs of IMR4350 with a Fed215 primer.
71.5grs RL25 and Fed 215 primer with the 120gr Swift A-Frame works best for me. Tried H-1000, Retumbo and IMR 7828SSC and the RL25 preformed better for me
The powder that gives the most FPS in a longer barrel will also be the powder that gives the most FPS in the shorter one.
It may look like a shorter barrel will do better with faster powder BUT that is not true.
The 6.5Crudmore is nothing more than a pimped up, born again 6.5X55. They will both...
Here is H-4350 since you have it.
H-4350--47.7gr/2570FPS 51.5gr/2784FPS
I would load IMR7828 or 7828SSC and load max. The swift data is conservative and I have never had trouble with any of their max loads. I load for quite a number of cartridges using swift bullets.
Then try 4831 if you do...
