I ended up changing the stock and then selling the rifle after a bit because powders weren’t opening up at that time. It’s one of those that I regret selling.
On the bright side, the gent who I sold it to emailed me the other day saying how much he loves it. Always good to hear
I've always had a love/hate relationship with the SuperCell that Remington has used. I had one on a custom shop 7-08 (pictured below). While it was super squishy, it looks hideous because they're so large.
I'm just psyched that they got rid of the white line spacers on the BDL finally.

Whenever they release the 700LH BDL later this year (maybe) I'd like to grab one. They seem to be a well built rifle.
IIRC, @Joec7651 has a new CDL and likes it.
Those recesses are there because the action screws come through a proud part of the action. When I had a tikka I bedded the lug area and the tang and that was that. Was just as accurate as if I'd bedded the entire action. I also emphasize that you should pillar bed the action as well. Can't hurt.
