Allen, It's a 280/270 case blown out to have a 40 shoulder, but wider and pushed forward a tad. Here's a 270 sherman which is the same case, but necked up:

I say if it ain't broke, don't fix it. That being said, I love my FA Intellidropper. It works very well and I love that it "learns" what powder you're using to properly meter it.

I think I eventually want to do a wildcat on the 277 fury case. Call it something like 25 RNC (redundant niche cartridge)

I'd bet you that we'll see an ABLR or AB come out in a heavier weight in .257 fairly soon as well. Can't all just be match bullets filling up the heavies.

Even before we first interacted on this forum, it was always such a breath of fresh air seeing the 25-06 get some love from you on Ultimate Reloader. If you did a fast twist, you’d be a staple in the 25 revolution 😎

Norma just made a batch of it. @AFG270 got some and seems to like it a lot. Hornady still makes brass for it and I like that stuff as well.

380 ACP and 270 Win (no longer have it) are the only two I've never bothered loading for.

Randy, I had a Mark II VT in 25-06 that, even without bedding, was easily a 1/4" gun with factory ammo. I'd not worry about the bad reports, as you're much more likely to post about a bad experience than a good one. There are countless MkIIs that have shot amazingly that you never hear about...

That's still some great velocity with a 140 out of a 22" barrel. Good job, Howie. When I got my stash of H100V, I couldn't find Staball anywhere. I suppose it'd work well in my case as well.
