    New Tipped Hammer bullets!

They're expensive. I'd rather have experimented with the new HHT than buy the older design, even if it's proven to work. I am by no means into the newest and shiniest thing, but like you said -- they spent a lot of time on it and I'd like to test it for myself. Right now it'll be a while til I...

    New Tipped Hammer bullets!

You and me both. I just started load development for some 131s in my 280AI.

    .257 heavies

1:7 is stated but it stabilized fine in my 1:7.5 out to 200, which is the furthest I shot it.

    .257 heavies

L-R: 100gr Speer SPBT, 100gr NBT, 115gr Partition (old style), 116gr Shock Hammer, 117gr Hornady InterLock, 121gr Hammer Hunter, 128gr Hammer Hunter. While I agree with the idea, a fast twist gives you the opportunity to pick up a heavier mono than the 100 grainers currently on the market...

Loading the 7x57 round. What is the potential

A guy I know got the AI version for a shorty suppressed build on a Tikka. Seems like it'd be a great fit to me.

Loading the 7x57 round. What is the potential

It'll come darn close to 284 win territory in a modern action at modern pressures.

Do we have a Squatch in MO?

    .257 heavies

I had a 1:7.5 twist 25-06 and it was great. I mainly got built it to shoot heavier monos, but I'd be tempted to get one again if Nosler released a heavy Accubond or ABLR in .257

    .257 heavies

Methinks Hornady’ll release the 25 creedmoor before too long. Too many bullets made for a wildcat for someone not to capitalize on the market.

    New Sako 90

Not even a 6.5x55 like they usually have. I'm sure they'll add it, though.

    New Sako 90

Long video, but this there is a new model Sako released to replace the 85. Push round feed, dual ejectors, three lug bolt, etc. Seems to be a solid rifle. Hopefully they release the lefties soon as well.

I'd take that accuracy at that speed any day of the week. Good shooting.

What cartridge do you think deserves more love?

The same could be said for a lot of cartridges. Why use a 25-06 if you can just light load a 257 wby? Why use a 270 winchester if you can just ligthload a 270 wby? Why use a 30-06 if you can just lightload a 300 win mag? It goes on. The main advantage to a Weatherby rifle in 338-06 is the use of...

    Proof Research

My plan is a 20" bolt action with a nice maple stock. It'll still take large rifle primers because of the lower case capacity and it'll feed better than the other shawties. It's pretty perfect for NA, honestly. Anything the 30-06 does it can do a little faster.
