Done deal. I ended up fumbling around and doing it myself, had trouble here and there learned how not to do it next time, but turned out well I think real solid and floating. Next time will be much easier.

Is this what you mean as bottom metal? Because on my stock there is a step right here creating a high and definately not level. Trigger gaurd side appears to be level and flush. Stock photo is were step is and raises high.

I'm pretty new to reloading, but did develope right in the sun at 80 degee with Hunter and ELDX in 300wsm and lost about 20fps at 40 degrees. Both temps shot great. I will be watching this thread as I want to load my Abolt 30-06 with Hunter.
