I started using N160 as a substitute for RL19. I'm actually very happy with it, burns cleaner for sure. I would have to check the charts again, but I'm pretty sure it lands right between 17 & 19. N560 is just a touch slower than 19. The short barrel can be handy in thick hunting conditions...

I've had good luck in a 280 with slow powder and mag primers, but not with a 19" barrel. N560 may do you well, or the powders JD mentioned. His load seems to consistently do well in the accuracy mark.

Thank you, that is what I experienced today. They all came out clean and none of them are showing this purple/bluish coloration to it. I've never seen this just from shooting though. I thought it was odd.

This round was the second firing. I was curious about hardness too. It's Peterson and I have some 6.5prc that is on 8th round firing without annealing. Would seem odd that this would be so much further ahead even considering charge weights.

It was to show the heat signature, purple and blue coloring I was getting on the shoulder. I think what we are seeing on my neck is due to not enough neck tension and I need to drop my resizing bushing a size or two down. The lighting to show the discoloration makes the neck look completely...

Thank you for the detail! I grabbed some brass and bullets a few days ago and put some test loads together. Norma brass, hot core 130g bullets. If this doesn’t go in the right direction I may reach out to you and see what we can work out on interlocks. They are a consistent bullet!

I forgot to post the H1000 stuff. I may play with some charts and see what difference the extra speed will really make in regard to wind .
