My best 280 load was some what found on accident. H1000, 150g BT, WLRM primers.. I only used the mag primer as a test to see what it would do different over the WLR primers and my first 5 with the mag primers clover leafed....
Head to head means the horses are lined up side by side and face each other (head to head). Ours had a walk way between the horses. The ones in the very front faced backwards the ones the back faced them. 3 horses wide, two rows of horses deep. You can grab any horse out of the trailer...
The area they hunted was Waynoka. It's been a few years, plenty of chances for things to change but that was a great area with a healthy population of deer in general and great bucks as well.
I did not participate because I already knew what it was haha. I got wind of it coming in a 307 which put my current purchase on pause. I was looking at 7mm Backcountry in a Weatherby Alpine CT. I'm now considering the same rifle but in this 25 RPM. I heard 3500fps.. I wonder what barrel...
Hard to get them out of the bottoms and low areas in the heat of summer. Even in the dead of night it can be in the 90's. Your best bet on a summer hog is in the night, over food and make your own waterhole with smelly mud so they find it fast!
Great animals, looks like a good year for your household! Good on ya for leaving what Washington has become, it really is sad to see these things. OK is great, massive whitetail in certain regions. When i was younger my Dad and Uncle use to hunt a region up there. My Dad has a couple 160"...
It's probably the same company that makes them for Harris still building them. They just change one little thing and go direct. I've heard this happens lol
Great looking bench, so much room for activities! My current work bench is a piece of solid wood top. My previous one was a section of the granite counter tops out of our old house. I highly don't recommend that. It was dark and multicolored, it was always cold to touch, hard to drill...
Just my 2 cents. I have had an still own some 7mags, I have played with, loaded, and have people in camp that hunt with 7 PRC. In my opinion, it's over hyped. If you're liking the Tikka or the 307, I would strongly consider just getting the mag. Side by side what you give up to have the PRC...
You're still well under the asking price of most all the 35 cal 7600's I've seen of late and your all in cost is ready to hunt, scope and all! This may not be a bad option at all.
You and me both. I watched the Steelers game with the Grice's yesterday. I showed him that post on broker. He said he's about 95% sure they sold those guns for $600 each when they went through the store, which was a little more than the non maple variant. To think someone got it for that...
This is very interesting, you have certainly had a different experience than me.
The only dies that have been worse for me than Hornady, was Lee. To be fair, I only ever tried one Lee die but I'm not willing to risk them again haha. I have however tried a couple Hornady and have had people...
