    35 Whelen Love

I guess something it really liked haha. Got attacked by a beaver when I was a kid, didn't stick around to what those big teeth and claws would do to a kids legs 😉

    35 Whelen Love

I had to shoot a Marten with mine when I was up in a tree stand hunting moose. The little bugger kept trying to get on the back of my neck so after a few minutes of swatting at him with the barrel of the gun I had enough and when his nose touched the muzzle I pulled the trigger. He disappeared...

    Starlink Internet

That's good to know, I was wondering how that would work when it snows.

    Starlink Internet

Not sure if it's different in the US but in BC here I just had to pay shipping and they sent the hardware to me without any other charges. I'm just paying for the monthly service. We have the standard Residential 100 Mbps plan.

    Starlink Internet

I just set it up today so we will see, so far it's noticeably faster. Our internet provider (Telus) sucked in every way and I'm glad to be getting away from them finally. Going to be cheaper too.

    6.5 Creed / 140 Ballistic Tips

Very good speed and accuracy, the 140 gr Ballistic Tip is great for deer.

Beautiful rifles. I've used the 225 gr TSX on moose with good results but like the 200 gr TTSX better. You get similar penetration but faster speed and I think they open up a bit better.

At 56 gr it grouped fairly well, a bit under MOA if I remember right. IMR 8208 been a standout with 200's though. I'm going to try CFE 223 with 225's this year too to see how it does.

I topped out at 56 gr I believe for about 2650 fps, I'm going to revisit that load here shortly since Sierra goes higher than that.

    Lose of our son.

Tough news and a hard thread to read, thanks for letting us know. I pray for peace for you and your family and also the others on here who have lost children far to early.

    270 wsm

Welcome to the forum, sounds like a super nice build. Hope you keep us up to date on how it turns out for you. I don't have a 270 WSM but do have a 6.8 Western. Based on that and my experience with a very similar round look at Retumbo, N 560, N 565, Magpro or even H 4831sc. You should be able...

Lot's of good advise on powders already, the 225 gr Sierra is an excellent all around bullet. What powders do you already have on hand in the H 4895 - CFE 223 range? There are lots of powders that will do well and you may have something good already. I've used RL 15, AA 2015, Varget, H 4895 and...

    2026 Antlerless Elk

Congratulations on your elk, she should be awesome eating. I am a subscriber to your YouTube channel and watched the video as well. Is that the exit wound visible on your field photo? Pretty convenient that she expired where she did.
