Thank you everyone. The wind actually wasn't too bad. Started off around 5-7 mph on the 500 yard KYL rack for me. By the time I was up for the 800 yard MOA-1/2 MOA stage an hour later, there was zero wind. Couldn't have asked for a better day. I lost by 1 point on the KYL rack to a pro shooter...
Whats wrong with the 108g ELDMs? They've got a pretty track proven record for killing coyotes/antelope/deer. If I had to use my 6 creed for deer, that's what I would use and wouldn't feel bad about it all. They've slammed every dog I've shot with them and left nice size exits. You said you...
Good times at the MF MOA/KYL shoot today. Thanks to Gentry Thorpe for hosting it, and Alex Mendoza for letting me tag along. Also shout out to my amazing wife Erin Peterson for the support and taking pics/videos. I took the 6 Creedmoor with 108g ELDMs and tied for 2nd on the KYL at 500 yards...
Got a few more things to hopefully pass along here. All prices are shipped usps with tracking. Most forms of payment accepted, PayPal preferred, usps MO, personal check.
6) 30-06 Remington brass, 48 pieces, 1x fired-$22
7) 300 Win Mag brass, 50 pieces total. 48 1x fired Federal, and 1 each of...
Has anyone actually tested them down to 13-1400 fps or have a link that does? I'd like to see it. I have a very hard time believing any copper bullet would sufficiently expand down to that low of velocity. Numbers I'm seeing is 1800 fps for non tipped hammers, and 1700 fps for tipped variants...
Those HHTs look like a good bullet. If I was in the market to shoot monos, that'd probably be the one. However I only have a 9 twist on my 7-300 so it looks like I'd be limited to the 140g. The BCs aren't that great for what I'd do with them, but I'm sure they'd work just fine out to 600 yards...
Did a little coyote hunting this morning on a buddy's farm. Seen this little guy bedded down in some grass at 275 yards. All I could see was his head. Got the 6 Creed all set up, dialed 2.5 MOA, cranked the MK4 up to 25x and let a handloaded 108g ELDM fly! She's a thing of beauty!!!
I also recommend getting ahold of Nathan. His brakes are the only ones I'll put on my rifles. One of the better, if not the best brakes out there for recoil reduction. Super nice guy and he'll get you squared away in no time.
Very nice! Hard to beat the 6 BRs! I tossed around the idea and went back and forth deciding between a 6 BR or 6 GT on my next build for a PRS rifle. I finally settled on the 6 GT mainly because I already have all the components for it on the shelf. Hoping I didn't make the wrong choice!
Nice rifles. Hope you have a tough scope in mind. A good friend of mine has one with a NF ATACR on it. That scopes been sent back to NF 4 times for broken internals. NF is now looking into how to correct the issue and make them stronger because of it. He also broke a Vortex Razor HD, twice the...
Well everyone is entitled to their own opinion. However if what you're saying was true, then Benchrest, F/TR, and PRS guys would be using LC brass and #41 primers. And I don't see any of them using either. Lapua is not a waste of money in any caliber. They are the gold standard when it comes to...
Helped a buddy get on this buck. Nice 4x4 28" wide. Shot was 840 yards with a custom 7 Rem Mag and 162g AMAXs. Dumped him.
Cousin also got a nice 28" 4x4 during bow season. Shot was 98 yards.
Same cousin got a nice little 5x5 bull. Shot was 6 yards.
I wish N/A would let Toyota put a diesel in the Tundra. Then again, it wouldn't be fair to the other big terrible 3... They'd about go absolete and ya know our government would never go for that. Dodge and Chevy have already went bankrupt how many times lol? Toyota dominates literally every...
Thanks everyone, I'll pass along the kind words. She was definitely a happy camper. Glad I could help out and be a part of it.
Here are a couple pics of the bullet. The core did stay intact, but after scrubbing the bullet during the cleaning process it did fall out. It only weighed 48g which is...
