    AR-15 shortage is over

Every shop I've been to lately has ARs up on the wall. Prices are a bit higher, but not exorbitant. 22LR, 9mm and 223 are still a pipe dream.

Inline Fabrication - Ultramount for Hornady LNL Classic

http://www.inlinefabrication.com/Single_Stage_Classic.html I did a quick write up on this on my blog. Thought a few here might be interested. http://guntinker.blogspot.com/2013/05/reloading-product-review-inline.html

    Leupold VX-R ?

SJB - Just curious - what are your thoughts on this one for a 375 H&H? I'd like to scope mine with a low power variable at some point and I really like the VX-Rs on my two Nosler rifles, but I'm sort of torn. Not because of function, but more a matter of form. On a walnut stocked 375 H&H I...

Anyone reload for the 6.5 Swede?

$200 - And I don't think it was ever fired after it was imported. I did some preliminary clean up last night and by all indications, this was purchased and set aside. It does have the normal dings on the wood, but the barrel looks like new. :) And thanks 1 shot for the load. I have my eyes...

    Nightforce sale

I think a lot of one's opinion on NF depends on what you're trying to use it for... If you're trying to shoe horn it into the hunting niche, I think it will do admirable work and wouldn't be a bad choice for very hard hunting. But it's by no means the best glass compared to some of the euro...

Anyone reload for the 6.5 Swede?

Fantastic information all - thank you. I picked up some brass this weekend, now just need to get some Redding dies and I'll be set. Not sure why, but there is nothing that beats the feel of an old battle rifle.

    Bipod

My only gripe about the Harris bipods I have is that I always end up with some random crap stuck in the springs.. but that may just be me. :)

Anyone reload for the 6.5 Swede?

I found a ridiculous deal on a all matching number, amazing condition Carl Gustav 1905 in 6.5 Swede. The old girl is just begging to be taken to the range and given a good woorkout. Any favorite loads? I was thinking about sticking with a 160g RN just to keep it traditional, but if someone...

    Homeland Security buying up components.

It's really hard to disprove something when no evidence is offered that supports the statement. (And please understand, I'm not picking on the question.) Sierra, not that long ago, came out and said demand from their customer went nuts...

    Reloading Bench - Take 2

So the best laid plans and all... I ended up changing the layout quite a bit after some additional planning/designwork. After a couple months accumulating parts and fabricating.. It's done! (Well, it's as "done" as any shop project ever is...) I couldn't be happier. The wife actually...

    Talk me out of...

For the record.. buying a new rifle, having some lovely new norma brass, powder and 300 grain slugs all on hand, with your entire reloading room torn up for a rebuild is the definition of 'living hell'.

How Often to Check the Powder Dump?

Depends... On bulk production work where I'm not pushing anywhere near max or min, I've come to trust the powder measures on my Dillon 550 and 650. Even with batches showing +/- .2 grains I still can produce tiny little groups. My check when I'm running a progressive is probably one every...

    Please read, click, then comment

As I said before, the devil is in the details. Are we going to see each state establishing a sales tax office in all of the other 50? Are they going to cooperate and create agreements to have each state audit on behalf of the others? This will be a big leap forward in regulation and...

    Please read, click, then comment

Hold up there just a second.... While advocates of this bill talk about how computers can make this easier, very little is talked about what it takes to actually implement it. All state taxing authorities have different forms, different rules, different compliance guidelines. For the big...
