I just bought some factory second 160 grain interlock round nose and some 410 grain factory second subx bullets for my 45/70 and 6.5 Creedmoor to try out. They have a good deal on .35 caliber Hornady 200 grain bullets at the price they are at I would buy them as well but I have no .35 caliber...
Nosler Partition 170 grain round nose works great in a 30/06 at reduced loads since it was designed for 30/30 velocities.
I also have Norma 170 grain Tipstrike bullets that could be slowed down.
I have one rifle set up to shoot both these bullets and point of impact is exactly the same at 100...
Wow that was quick they had 3 rifle powders in stock when I posted with the extra 20% off they were all under $200 for 8 pounds people may be looking at deals now and why it went so fast or they only had a few in stock.
Just got a message in my email from American reloading they have a rifle powder that says similar to reloder17. If anybody is looking for an alternative and want to give it a try it is 20% as well so $180 for 8 lbs of the stuff...
Primed brass can be shipped hazmat free I've ordered multiple times from multiple sites with no issues. Seems like loose primers are considered hazmat but once in a casing they are good to go.
After you posted I found this
https://www.sportsmanfulfillment.com/sig-sauer-elite-hunting-tipped-300-win-mag-ammunition-20-rounds-180-grain-polymer-tipped-projectile-2960-fps/4
Not sure they make the ammo anymore I don't see it on Sig site. So these might be no longer produced so whatever Raven...
Anybody ever see these before?
Black coated nickel game sierras both in .308 and 6MM at Raven Rocks supposedly for another OEM

If nickel plated I wonder if they are harder so expand less than...
Last I saw RL22 was at a local store they had it at $75 a pound went back months later and it was still on the shelf. At some point prices get to high to sell.
Now with all these tariffs soon to hit if any of you see a good deal on powder, primers, bullets, brass etc you might want to think about buying it. I expect prices will be passed to us as there are still shortages and they know they don't need to take the hit. If an 8lb jug of powder costs $400...
Ramshot Hunter is for heavier grain projectiles in 30/06 if you have an adjustable plug on your Garand you could possibly use it but it is not the powder for the Garand. Ramshot doesn't really have a powder for the Garand closest likely being Big Game but even that powder may have too slow of...
Ramshot Hunter is good in the .270 if you want something cheaper than 4831.
I got lucky I bought most of my bullets before 2020 in .270.
I have plenty Partition 140 grain and 150 grain.
I also got the Federal Fusion bullets in 150 grain cheap as well but today neither are cheap.
I prefer...
There was a test done awhile back you can see the results but this is the results of the rifles that were used for that test.

Of course weather and guns used can change all the results for someone else trying...
You have some good hunting ground I live in Warren but have property in Bentley which is about half way between Standish and Gladwin. My plan is retiring there in about 10-15 years.
Ron Spomer did a comparison of the .35 Remington to the new .360 Buckhammer and the new cartridge has more power. I don't understand why Michigan would not allow the 30/30, .35 Remington. .444, 45/70 when these new cartridges keep pushing the envelope higher then some of these old cartridges...
What kind of stinks is they are offering free hazmat if you buy $150 worth of primers. So if you need primers as well then you could knock the hazmat fee off the price as well.

Not a bad price by today's standard. Not sure I want to get another powder I loaded up on the Magnum powder and have other powders in the same range that I need to burn thru first.
