Yep!
As my 338-06 is a heavy rifle, this will be nice and handy in the thick timber with that 20" barrel, and about 2 1/2 lbs lighter, without a scope.
While my Garmin was fair bit more than that, I still consider it amongst the best investments in shooting and reloading I have ever made.
And I wish that I had gotten my old Chrony many years before I did, just to be able to see what I was actually getting out of the factory ammo and my...
So Federal has finally released the 7mm 170 gr TAs as components?
That's encouraging!
So far only my 6.5 PRC is favouring the 142 gr ABLR @ 0.480", and my 7mm PRC is shooting the 175 gr ABLR right at MOA. Have yet to take game with either rifle, as when I packed those rifles last year, I did...
My turn to revive an older thread...
Have finally found a LH Ruger in 338 RCM! Have been looking for one since first introduced to try.
Decent price and in good shape, with dies and brass. Wood/blued with 20" barrel (would have preferred the 22" barrel, but beggars can't be choosers! )...
I read a note in the new Western Pursuit magazine's Quarter-Bore War article on the 25 CM vs 25 RPM by Joseph Von Benedikt, that Hornady is playing with an improved version of the 257 AI (hence the name 257 AI (Improved), or AII for short) for fast twist enhancement of the old wildcat. It should...
Sounds like you've worked out a good load!
I know I just picked up 4 boxes of 150 gr BTs for my 280 Rem at a great price a couple of days ago that I hope to find a great load with.
Lots of love for the 35 Whelen here!
And there are a number of threads here to review discussing the 35 Whelen, whether it be about the rifles, the cartridge, the ammunition, and/or the handloads for it.
While I do not own one, I have used a friend's to take a cow elk.
I am a fan of the 35 cal...
Nice shooting!
Best of luck on your adventure!
I look forward to hearing of it, and seeing your photos!
We hope to get to the range for a little trigger practice before our trip, as our range has been inaccessible due to snow and ice for a while.
We will be flying out of Edmonton on May 10th...
I bought the Delta Point Pro to mount on my Rem 870 Tactical when I had it.
Once I got my LH 870 Slug Gun, I sold the RH Tactical.
The older Slug Gun is not drilled and tapped, and I was advised by the gunsmith not to do so to mount the red dot. So it just wears its original rifle sights. Still...
I see that Sierra has announced a 131 gr Tipped Game King (TGK) that will be out this year. They have not yet listed its BC, but its SD will be 0.291. That will provide great penetration on larger big game such as our northern whitetails and mulies, and caribou with a quarter bore!
Checked with...
I have been using a Browning Bull Bag for the front for about 30 years now. (Haven't seen these anywhere for many years.) Wish I had bought two!
I also have a Caldwell Tackdriver one as back up for others (Susan, Lauryn, etc.) to use when we go to the range, but it isn't quite as nice, as the...
