I'm surprised I don't have any of the " Winchester western wildcat " 22 ammo .I remember it being , a white box with a sketch of a wildcat in blue . I shot a lot of that through the years .
the old cleaning rod was in the bottom of my Grandfathers gun cabinet when I was given it . it is really bowed bad . the cloth wrap on it is at a threaded coupler . I'm not sure if the coupler is bad , or if it was to protect the barrel from being scuffed because of how bowed the rod...
and for you fly fishermen . Richardsons' chest carried fly box was world known . I grew up about a mile away from his store . I don't know his correct name , everyone called him " chirp . "
I've been doing spring cleaning . I'm now trying to get my spare room organized . I came across old ammo . I enjoy seeing the old boxes you guys post so here is my old stuff .
with a partition bullet I wouldn't go to that much jump right away . since you were loading .008 jump , I'd go .015 , .020 , .025 jump . my experience with partitions is they like to be fairly close to the lands .
@NYDAN , I went through this too , trying to figure out how much I wanted to lengthen the throat on my grandsons 260 . all my info is in this thread .

if you wanted to try something ; empty the tumbler of corncob , and put some sand in it . sand would be gritty and would " PROBABLY " scrub the molly off . then go back to the corncob and polish them . only do a few until you see . keep in mind sand is heavy , don't overload the tumbler...
your Lyman book is the one that came with my reloading set up . I started reloading in 1978 at age 16 . Santa brought me the Lyman starter kit for Christmas . it's been a life long Hobby , for me .
another vote for Tikka . I don't think I've ever heard of one that doesn't shoot great right out of the box .
I've only been around one Browning . it's a lefty X - bolt . it does shoot well , the barrel is smooth , it's an all around nice rifle .
the past few Days, maybe a week has been crazy windy here , the ole March winds . the weather has been saying gusts about 40 - 70 MPH . we went walking yesterday and I could not have heard a turkey if it was more than 10 yards away , the wind was so strong .
no cab on my tractor . I think the worst is when I'm out plowing and it's raining and freezing . it just sucks .
congrats on the new tractor . life just got a little easier .
the outside temps have taken a dive for me , but signs of spring are all around . about 1 week ago I saw my first Robbins , now they are everywhere . I've seen a few nice flocks of geese flying north . yesterday morning at daybreak , it was 19* , there was a gobbler just going crazy ...
that's a killin machine , right there . they say a bobcat can efficiently kill 8 times it's weight . so a 25 pound bobcat can handle a 200 pound prey animal . I'm not sure on the big cats , I assume it would be the same .
a guy can do a lot with a tractor . I have a L2500 Kubota with a front bucket and a 7 1/2 ' backhoe . it's done a lot , considering it's a home owners machine . I'd be lost without it . I have to rebuild one cylinder on the backhoe dipper stick , it's bypassing internally ...
