Keep talkin' - numbers like that keep me from spending money on a 25 RPM or Creed. An accurate rifle in any .25 would be fun but.... If I was young and starting out maybe. But back then then I couldn't have afforded it anyway. Good old 25-06...CL
Looks like a takedown to me. First thing the smith checked on my friends was how tightly the action seemed to "lock up when closed. Dont know what/how to tell you to do that- it was was "fine" according to him. Lock up between barrel and reciever would also be somthing I would look for...
$h%T.... Not in 50 years of trying... :). Still gonna ditch that Vortex? You made the investment. Glad its working out for you. Nice riflery! Enjoy. CL
Sorry Fotis I missed this one. Very Gracious of you. Thanks! Just had another cousin move back to Gods country. Now if I could just get myself there.... I will keep it in mind if I get the Ford that far west. CL
A 25 Pronghron??? Never heard of that one. Should be a cannon. Custom Dies? Bet there are some impressive velocities to be had there. Id think about swapping the scope for a trusted one too. If I read the thread right and its a Leupold, send it to them for a check up. I have done that...
Thats elite level "bailing wire" engineering there sir. Too bad you didnt have some real "bailing wire". That stuff is made of un-obtainium any more. Good on you for "getting it done". CL
Guy- I Understand missing the mountains....I miss the Flat! I'm a not so successful transplant to the big city.... Definitely understand the angst that "politics" brings. There is some really pretty hill country in OK if I recall correctly. Glad to hear that you are ok and encouraged to...
Sounds like you have a plan. In all honesty, I am not familiar wit B&C products. My experience with one Boyds stock sure dosent make me an expert. Best of luck and enjoy! CL
120' BT's in the 7mm -08 have been used with great effect by quite a few posters here. At one point it was suggested that they were the same bullet as a 140. Made them tougher...and quicker. At least that's what some espoused. CL
I'd run that by a Gunsmith, but I'd be surprised if he didnt tell you to send it back to B&C. Why would he want to risk his reputation on that project if it wasnt right to begin with? IMHO. I sent one back to Boyds because the barrel channel was too far off center. Eventually they went...
Daisy Model 96- Sparrows in the machine shed/barn.
Crossman 760 - Same "game" with the occasional wood pecker
Sold my first couple .22's in a weak moment involving a girl - still got the Daisy and the Crossman, and the girl..... CL
Congrats on finding or financing that one or what ever you had to do.... Hope you get much enjoyment out of it! Look forward to seeing those "Fotis" like groups. Again, enjoy! CL
